In 2008, 200 xkrs were made, I have all the details on the cars spec, but it is the body kit i'm interested in. I would like to put this kit on my 07 xkr. Does anyone know where i can buy the kit, new or used, splitter, side sills and rear diffuser.

 

Chris @ Mina Gallery has it available or you may hunt for an OEM, I believe it was originally from the 2008 XKR-S

Are you going to stay with the Futura wheels? The OEM forged 20" Vortex wheels from the 2008 XKR-S are rare and very expensive if you can find them. A tuner in Germany had a set for $3,000 + shipping a while ago, not sure if he still has them.

Visually, the 2008 R-S kit appears similar to the Speed Pack kit, based on the R-S that was parked one car away from mine on the JEC anniversary timeline. Of course, the front will be different, because the Speed Pack is for the 2010+ cars, but the sills, rear diffuser and rear wing looked the same.

 

Was at the Jaguar dealer today and priced the RS kit to suit my car;

Front lip spoiler, comes in 3 pieces, each piece costs £114.87=£344.61
Side sills, 2 pieces £177.81=£355.62
Rear diffuser, only comes in carbon fibre he said, £939.30

So a grand total of £1639.53
Any one seen cheaper

 

That's quite reasonable IMO for OEM pieces.

 

Might be cheap in British pounds, but will cost me nearly €2250 ouch, a bit more if it was USD, will shop around.

 

That suggests you may have been given prices for the 2012 R-S, not the 2008. The 5.0 car does have a CF rear wing & diffuser.

 

He printed off the pictures, the front spliter looks the same, the rear bumper diffuser the same. The only part that doesn't look right is the sills ,they seem very big. Sills and diffuser has the red arrows

 

Those aren't the complete side sills, they're just the sections between the front splitter & the front wheel arches. There are two further sections that run under the doors, between the front & rear arches.

 

So the diffuser is ok and the 3 piece front splitter. The xkrs picture i uploaded seems to be just long extensions. . Will have to enquirer more on the sills.

 

That's the wrong kit, as mentioned before that is the 2012 XKR-S 3-piece rear diffuser. The one you are looking for is the 1 piece. And I do not see the side sills anywhere. Let me see if I can find the parts you need.

 

Thanks help would be much appreciated, i did show the parts guy the pictures of the car a told him the year the car came out with the kit, and this is what he gave me. It's hard to describe to them they are wrong, some haven't a clue and don't really care.

Ngarara, would the side sills and rear diffuser you have not fit my 07, surly the sides never changed and the diffuser could be mounted on my rear bumper. The front splitter would be a different matter.

 

Chris at Mina Galleries has the front splitter, it's a one piece part for 2007-2009, and a three piece part for 2010+. I converted the 3 piece splitter to one for my 2010. I also purchased the side skirts that run from back of front wheel wells to the front of the rear wells. Finally, Mina also has a rear diffuser, however I chose to purchase a rear bumper/diffuser from F/X Designs of Chicago as I liked its more aggressive appearance. Mina's prices were quite reasonable, I seem to remember about $600 (without rear diffuser). Chris gives Jaguar Forum members a healthy discount if they ask. F/X Designs also has a full body kit including the rear bumper/diffuser, side skirts, and full front bumper/splitter.

I found side skirts in the parts catalogue, but no real picture

XKR-S to VIN B44939 which would be "up to 2011MY"

XKR-S from VIN B44930 onwards, which would be 2012MY onwards

The "except XKR-S" option also has a change in p/n, but at a different VIN, and the parts are superceded. With the XKR-S the parts do not have a supercession.

The 5.0L XKR-S was launched in May 2011, which I believe was the 2012MY car, so maybe those side trims listed above from up to VIN B44929 are for the 2008 XKR-S?

 

The rear bumper on the 2008 XKR-S is different too by the looks;

Up to VIN B44939
Bumper cover XKR-S: JLM21880XXX
Bumper cover except XKR-S: C2P9870XXX

The rear diffuser for the XKR-S up to B44939 is C2P17589, listed as the same p/n as for the Black Pack & Speed Pack up to B44939 ?

 

What we need is a VIN for a 2008 R-S - I'll see what I can find...

 

Great job guys , real detective work being done. If i could get the part number for each bit it would be great. Has any one on this forum a 2008 RS model, they could help out maybe.
