Thanks Richard, the picture was taken 2 weeks ago when I had to go to San Diego for the week and decided to give Southwest a break and drive the 1000 mile round trip. I got the car in March of last year when it had just under 10k miles on it and this was the longest drive by a good 600 that I had done in one week and it performed flawlessly. This is my first Jag and so far, it's been a fantastic ownership experience with none of the seemingly common oddities many here have come across at one time or another although, to be fair one of the first things I did was buy a CTEK. I absolutely love everything about the car from the achingly beautiful appearance to the more than adequate performance. It feels like a treat every time i get in. You could say that I've been stalking the forum for a while now and it's fantastic to see how much passion others have for these very special cars.

1st Jaguar?

 

This is a well cared for two owner car from sothwest Florida. I was not really looking but came across it at a local jaguar dealer while looking for something else. I always like the XK coupe and when I saw this it was just too nice to pass up. The fact it was a PE was a bonus.

This is my second jaguar - last jag was 1999 XJ8.

Maybe not the spot but I have two questions: looking for red jaguar logo red center wheel caps. Can't find them anywhere. Also this car comes with standard brakes with the "R" logo on the calipers. I would like to refresh as the logo is faded. Looks like it was silk screened. Anyone have any recommendations on how to restore...minor detail but I'm fastidious with the details.

Here's the OEM Jag center caps that came on the 2009 Jag XKR P/E...

Just want to take a moment to thank you and others in this forum. You've all been very helpful to a new owner. I appreciate the guidance and assistance and for putting up with any newbie tendencies. As I get more comfortable moving about the forum I hope to be a bit more self sufficient.

I will be visiting your great island once again in March 2016 staying up on the North Shore area in Punaluu in a beach front condo. Was there in 2013 for a full month, and had the opportunity to live like the locals. It was a blast. Lanikai Beach was awesome. Here's a few of the photos I took while there.

Really like the set up of the Kayak on top of the XKR, job well done on the install.

Thanks for signing up. We are slowly uncovering more 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition owners. These are very rare cars indeed. In your case, only 200 Convertibles into the USA for our model. 180 of the coupes.

Perhaps you can tell us how you came about finding this car with low mileage.

Sounds like your 2009 is exactly the same as mine. I love the spun aluminum dash.
