I changed the carpets, armrest and veneer, I didn't like the look with too much beige/ivory, plus the carpets were so dirty and disgusting, just awful...

And with the armrest changed;
Here's what the carpets looked like when they came out;

Hi Cambo,
Look like very worthwhile and well done changes, your car looks awesome.
I've had mine for 7 years and love it.
The only issue with mine is poor/no am radio reception.
I will also be interested where the spun ali trim and carpets were obtained from.

Part numbers;
C2P10441, XK center dash panel, engine spin veneer
C2P10443, XK shifter surround, engine spin veneer
C2P10445, XK ashtray cover, engine spin veneer
The one around the screen just pops out. The one around the shifter is a bit of a pain to remove, and you need to swap the aluminium trim plate from around the shifter over. The ashtray lid pops off with a bit of encouragement. When you have the new parts in your hands it's pretty obvious how the old ones come off.
I'd suggest retrofitting the DAB+ Digital Radio, it's pretty straight forward in the 2009MY-onward cars, I have all the parts here and a contact in Melbourne who can take care of the install & programming.
You get many of the AM stations on DAB+ now, all the ABC, SBS, and others, 49 stations on DAB+ in Melb now, the list is here Listen Live Now - Digital Radio Plus the audio quality with DAB+ is amazing compared to FM, let alone AM...
The carpets came out of a wrecked 2014 XKR, so did the armrest, you can't buy the carpets as new spares anymore i'm told, but they were much cheaper out of a wreck anyhow, I believe the new price was ~$1000 each when they were still available, I paid a fraction of that.

Thanks
Cambo,
Thank you very much. Mine came with the spun aluminum but the center pieces are the piano black and I always wondered why. Did not know they were available in the aluminum and as on the old E types knew it would look better. Learn something new every day. Will order some for Christmas, perhaps for my wife.
Thanks again,
Lon

Two of the remaining nine Australian 2009 XKR Portfolio's, in my garage!
Identical spec cars, came down the line on the same day, mine is 28951, this is one 28956
I'm friends with another '09 Portfolio owner here in Sydney, again same spec, ivory interior, his is 28954
It appears that the ten cars for Australia were built in succession, which makes sense since they would have all been ordered at the same time, and traveled on the same boat out here.
The story I have is that of the ten, five were with charcoal interior, five were with ivory.
The wrecked car in Adelaide was also ivory interior, so with the three of us in Sydney, the wreck in Adelaide, and Den's car in Melbourne, that is all five of the ivory interior cars accounted for.
One of the charcoal interior cars was for sale here in Sydney not long ago, I haven't come across the other four for sale, or on the road. I suspect one of them is in Brisbane though.

Welcome to the Forum! You made a good choice.
Are the rims the OEM 20" Selena or aftermarket? If the paint is peeling, they were poorly refinished most likely by by a mobile wheel repair shop that dealers use to make curb rash disappear.
I recently had all 4 of my Selena wheels completely refurbished, and they turned out great. Cost wasn't cheap - $600, but worth it. You may want to do the same. Here's one:
Please post pictures of your new baby and closeups of your peeling wheels.

$600 total, but I removed and reinstalled all of the chrome overlays myself and brought the wheels to the shop, picked them up and reinstalled them myself. Note that the proper wheel torque is 92 ft.-lbs. They were in good shape before being refurbished, with very little curb rash. One was a slightly different color and I wanted them to be identical. The Shadow Chrome finish was done using a black base coat with a hypersilver topcoat and clearcoat. As a result, the inner barrel is black, which hides the brake dust and makes the face stand out. The barrel doesn't have the hypersilver topcoat but has the clearcoat. I also applied high gloss ceramic nanocoating before reinstalling the wheels to make them easier to clean.

Agree with Stuart, as I paid $600 for refinishing a set of Senta’s I bought off ebay.
That included removing and reinstalling the dummy bolt heads at no extra charge (I believe if tires had been on the wheels, removing and reinstalling would have been covered too).

just picked up a 09 portfolio coupe, with just under 16k miles - bought it from owner that had it from 1k miles forward - dealer maintained - running great! not sure about options, any types on how to check appreciated - saw already some info here like the inflator kit if it has alcon option
it is grey / red stitching, and dark wood trim
previous jags I had include an '04 XKR coupe (black on black), and an '06 Super V8 (silver, black interior)
will put up a pic soon - anyone have a window sticker so I can check out the base set up?
cheers from Hawaii,

Welcome to the Forum. You'll find lots of great info here. You made an excellent choice! I hope that you're as happy with yours as I've been with mine.
With the Alcons and Ivory/Slate interior, our cars are similar. Does yours have Adaptive Cruise Control?
If a previous owner didn't install White XKRs remote control soft top kit, I highly recommend that you do it. It's what the factory forgot. Being able to raise all 4 windows greatly improves the top-down driving experience.

I will be looking into the soft top kit.
