Applemann01,

You have a very rare car, and it's the only one that I am aware of that came from the factory exactly like mine (assuming that your top is black). Options are Ivory/Slate interior, Black Top, Alcon Performance Brake Package, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Over the years, I've added the mods listed in my signature and a few others.

How rare is it? See: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ertible-45154/

Stuart

2009 PE Convertible
- Black top, Charcoal interior w/Cranberry stitching
- Wood grain dash
This one had the factory Selena wheels, but they were really flaking off, so RichZak gave me the info on the FastCo Braelin wheels.
Prowling the streets in sunny Boca Raton, Florida, with about 78K on the clock. Still purring like the kitten it is.

Christmas Jag

Note the little Jag on the dash...

Nice pics, will the car take a dip in the pool?

BTW I found your video just the other day!

The Shadow Chrome finish was done using a black base coat with a hypersilver topcoat and clearcoat. As a result, the inner barrel is black, which hides the brake dust and makes the face stand out. The barrel doesn't have the hypersilver topcoat but has the clearcoat. I also applied high gloss ceramic nanocoating before reinstalling the wheels to make them easier to clean.
Stuart,
I am in need of the Selena alloys refurbing on my car, you mention removing the chrome inserts yourself . This is something I would also want to do.
Are they fixed with screws from the back or just clipped in place ?

Stuart,
Where did you find the engine cover? That's quite sharp.

The Selena chrome overlays have pins that are inserted through the spokes and are attached using push-in sheet metal speed nuts. The are difficult to remove without breaking, so buy some spares to have on hand if you need them. Try Lowe's or Home Depot if your dealer doesn't have them.

I had it hydrodipped with carbon fiber-look film for under $200, a fraction of the cost of the genuine OEM carbon fiber Engine Appearance Cover that was standard equipment on the XKR-S GT.

For details, see:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-cover-129949/

Note that the photos are missing from the first several posts, but I subsequently added them back to the thread.

Hi Marky!
It's afraid of water - like the cat it is! I just thought it would be a cool picture. And it was Christmas time, so the nose and antlers were on it.

BTW - Which video was that you found?

fritz,
You're mistaken. Jaguars are not afraid of the water and are good swimmers, including the rare Brazilian Black Jaguar. Watch this video: Group spots rare predator in river - CNN Video

And these:

Stuart, I stand corrected! Great videos of truly beautiful animals. They are even more awesome than the cars that bear their name!

Thanks, Rick

$19750.00. Had it shipped from Houston to Knox Pa for $700. Needs new tires but everything else looks excellent. Just went allover it for PA state inspection.

Such a timeless beauty! Love mine! Does your navigation work? Mines shot- but I use my phone for that- I also got a Bovee 1000 so I can play my music on my phone through the sound system. Enjoy it! Lovely car!

I own a gray convertable with a green top. Black interior, around 75000 mi. In Bonita Springs, Florida. Problem, dash material lifted. Of course 2009 xkr Portfolio.
I would like to know the colors of the tops on other such convertables.

2009 Jaguar XK/XKR colors, from my 2009 Jaguar XK sales brochure.
Note that Shadow Grey is missing because the limited production Portfolio Edition was not included in that brochure. All 2009 XKR Portfolios were Shadow Grey. Most convertibles had black tops and a few were grey. Yours is the first one I've heard of with a green top. Do you know if that's the original top?
