Thanks for your help
Rich,
I have been keeping my eye out for a XKR for some time now. I did not expect to find a trade in at my local dealership. I have a 2010 XF that was in for brakes and it was on the lot maybe a day or two. The car was a original owner that moved to Idaho from California maybe couple of years ago. This car has been my favorite to date.

You got a very rare find and good thing you jumped on it right away. Your 2009 appears to be a clone of mine. The 2009 Portfolio Edition Convertible is hard to find with the spun aluminum dash which I personally like better than the wood interior. It looks sportier.
The only change I made to my PE was to have the engine cover hydrographically printed and changed out the Selena wheels that had some chipping on the interior of the spokes. I still have the OEM Selena wheels and may have them refinished in the future to sell along with the car if ever sold. The new wheels I purchased have a nice sporty look which I prefer over the Selena's.
Thanks for posting and keep us up to date on how you like the PE and any changes you make to the car.
There are many members that can lend support, and we have found a few other 2009 XKR PE owners. However, since you're already a Jaguar owner with the XF I am sure you have handle on the Jags.

Bill,
Since you have a convertible, I recommend adding the Remote Top kit developed by White XKR. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-video-109235/
There are many other mods you may want to consider. The ones I've done are in my signature. Just search for more details.
I hope you enjoy your 2009 XKR PE as much as I enjoy mine.

Wow looks great and like mine! Can you show me the interior, love to see the spun aluminum dash? What is "buffed and coated with beeds"?
I added speed humps (covers the back seat from Mina) and update the taillights on mine. I bet you'd like the mods om yours.

good morning hawaii realtor the dash is the wood grain and not the spun aluminum. The car was buffed by a local detail shop that does a lot of show cars to restore the paint and needs is a ceramic coating look up beeds.com. i had the car at the dealer just looking around and they were looking at the car and blown away by the shine. they also were very interested as they had only ever saw 1 other XKR Portfolio and it was a coupe. i don't think there are too many in Canada.

Welcome to the 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition Registry. As a 2009 XKR PE Convertible owner myself and others, we like to know where these beauties are located geographically.
Smart move on the nano ceramic coating. The XKR looks great. I applied a nano ceramic coating myself and the shine and reflective qualities are awesome using this detailing technology. I see you do not have the Alcon brake system that was an expensive option at the time of the build.
In order to help others, is it possible to provide an indication of what you paid for the XKR PE? Since these are limited production vehicles with only 200 of the 2009 XKR PE Convertibles and 180 of the 2009 XKR PE Coupes, we would like to see these vehicles hold value.
We continue to build a nice list of 2009 XKR PE owners on this thread and thanks so much for posting.
I am sure your XKR in Canada is very rare indeed. The Shadow Gray exterior with Ivory interior is quite limited. Congratulations on the purchase.
More photos would be nice to see.

HawaiiRealtor:
As per your request..here are a few images of my 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition with the rare (not seen very often) Spun Aluminum dash. The Spun Aluminum dash was an option on the 2009 XKR PE model.

In case anyone needs a new set of Alcon rotors, jahummer found them at a bargain price (while they last):
See this thread, and Post #30

Post #30 , post #1, and post #19
The intent of this post is to try to notify and inform other 2008 & 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition owners that have the Alcon braking system.
The cost and expense to replace the Alcon brake rotors have always been a concern to me. Having Jaguar Forum member jahummer advise other Jaguar members has created an opportunity for others to save several thousands of dollars when trying to secure Alcon rotors in the future.
I felt it was necessary to pass this important information along to other owners.
Hope this helps.

2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition Coupe
Shadow Grey, Ivory/Slate Interior
Spun Aluminum Dash

Weekend use only
Car located in Geelong, Victoria, Australia

My interior has had a few changes though.
Carpets changed to charcoal, armrest changed to charcoal, and the piano black on the console swapped for engine spun aluminium.
The reason I dug up this thread, is sadly there is only nine of these Portfolio's in Australia now, one of them was destroyed, the wreck is at TRS in Adelaide.

Looks like a front impact and the fire brigade cut the roof off at the a-pillars to extract the occupants, sure hope they were ok.
I changed the carpets, armrest and veneer, I didn't like the look with too much beige/ivory, plus the carpets were so dirty and disgusting, just awful...
Before;
After:
And with the armrest changed;
Here's what the carpets looked like when they came out;

Definitely more practical with the dark carpets, and looks great with the dark armrest. Now I'm thinking about changing my armrest to match the console. I like that look. Nicely done!
I noted your dark Leaper logo floormats over the original Ivory carpet, since I did the same thing years ago with aftermarket mats to better protect my carpets and save the original leather-trimmed Ivory mats for shows. My interior photo shows those aftermarket mats.
My Ivory carpets still look good because I'm always cleaning them ... and the brake dust.
