Default 2011+ Jaguar Rear Diffuser

I have a 2012 XKR with black pack. This came with the front splitter and larger spoiler but did NOT come with the rear diffuser.. I want to add this. Called Terry's Jaguar Parts and price is $1735 IF they could get it....

Anyone have ANY thoughts on the Mina rear diffuser... Same material? The body shop I talked to today said they would have to take off the bumper most likely...ugh.. I thought it was bolt on??

Lothar52,
Although I ordered the Mina RS side skirts and front splitter, and have the Mina exhaust, I was smitten by the F/X Design rear bumper/diffuser. All of them were finished being fitted and installed TODAY! They go into the paint booth tomorrow, and I should have the car back either Friday or Monday. (Can't wait!)
Take a look at this link below. I did not like the exhaust tips, so I didn't purchase them. I paid $1450 + shipping without the tips. It does not install without some work, and whoever does the installation needs to make the holes for the rear sensors. Addtionally, the mesh for the inserts is not the steel diamond shaped one shown in the picture, it's a black plastic honeycomb. I purchased a very high quality chromed, very thick, high quality, mini diamond mesh from Chris at Mina for $25.00, and it looks great. Pictures are coming as soon as the car is done.

Chris at mina is now making a rear defuser in Carban/Fiber and is working on a C/F for the front to match. Im going put these on my car when he gets them finished
I wonder what it would look like if the side rails where done in C/F, ?? Bernie

Mina uses rigid fiber glass and Jaguar uses flexible urethane. I found the Mina parts a little more difficult to install versus the factory parts due to not being a perfect fit but if you have a good body shop they should be able to get it done.

That F/X Design rear diffuser is the best i've seen yet, others look old school in comparison, will have to start saving.

I pick up my XKR tomorrow afternoon, with all of the modifications, Mina RS sideskirts, front splitter (converted from 3 piece to 1 piece), F/X Designs rear bumper/diffuser, 20" Kalimnos repainted gloss black. There are a few more modifactions I will do myself after I get the car. I will post pictures either tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday.

Well, I just picked up the car, but they didn't quite finish a few items, so it goes back tomorrow for a couple of hours. (I would have left it, but I got dropped off and had no way home). Too dark for pictures but I will take some in the morning and post. I am generally very pleased, but there are a few corrections that will get done over the next couple of weeks. The gloss black wheels are probably the most startling for me to get used to, but I think it will grow on me.
Photos tomorrow.

Okay, so I've been promising pictures of the modifications for several days, but I've been leaving before dawn and getting home after dark, so I just haven't had a chance to get any pictures with good light. However, here is a teaser, of the rear bumper/diffuser I've been talking about. I set up some lights just now (8:45pm) so that I could take at least one. I installed a Mina performance exhaust, however, the eshaust tips (I like to call them trumpets) that came with the Mina system were simply huge and would not fit through the cutouts in the bumper for them. We decided not to cut the holes bigger, and Chris at Mina provided us with some smaller alternatives. They're not my favorite, but they'll do for now.

Tomorrow, I promise a full load of pictures of all of the mods. Finally finished!

Hey thanks, Ralph. I should be up in the Palisades in the next couple of days, going back to start working on the next door neighbor's house up on Avenida de Cortez. I'll give you a ring, and maybe we can grab lunch.

Sweet look! Gives the car an exotic look yet looks clean and factory.

Ted, Are you going to install the exhaust tips? IMO it will give it a more finished look. I seen this on ebay and was considering it but I'm also consider selling my car because need an AWD. Was the shipping expensive?

DGL,
The exhaust tips that came with the Mina exhaust system, would not fit through the holes provided. We had a couple of choices. We thought about a small extension of the 2.5" pipe to just beyond the hole and then putting the Mina trumpets on. We mocked it up and the Mina tips were so long that they came out well beyond the bumper and did not look very good. The squared off tips that F/X Designs sells for a crazy high price did not fit well even in their pictures, so that wasn't a consideration. So Chris at Mina gave us some that fit but that I'm not particularly happy with. They'll do for now, but I will work on finding some I like better or have them custom made.

The bumper/diffuser from F/X Designs ships from Chicago, and cost me $1450.00 plus $150.00 shipping. The first one was lost in shipping for two weeks and when found was destroyed (or so the story goes). The second one took about ten days as well.
