2011 xkr blackpack convert
I am new to this site and I think I may get some expert answers to some questions I have about a recent car I purchased. It is a 2011 XKR Blackpack with an early production date of 10/10. The car was delivered to Texas in 2010 and is now in Florida. I was trying to find out what was the earliest know convertible as Jaguar didn't originally offer this option in convertible in 2011 but changed this policy and did produce them. Is there anyway to find out what was the first one produced?
My front three piece splitter is in the shop getting repainted as the bottoms were scratched. The middle section was broken and I am awaiting the part that has taken two weeks already. The dealer told me it will be in this week.
I always found Jaguar Customer Support very helpful with similar queries. I see they no longer publish their email address but there is a web form.

they are so good that they still arrange towing for my out of warranty vehicles. Now that’s service.
out of interest, what does topix say about your car?

You may be a person who would appreciate having 10% tint on your headlights and tail lights. It'd make your black less obliterated by those too-shiny bits.
Is that legal???
Depends on where you are. Or if anybody cares. Lots of Euro cars have darkened tail lights during the day as OEM. They are just as bright when on as a lot of other cars. Smoked headlights are sold from a LOT of places.
Didn't know if this was like tinted windows...
Enforcement varies tremendously state by state...
damn good looking car!
I have an (alpine?) white 2014 xkr coupe with the factory black out. I did some additional blacking out including vinyl wrapped window surrounds and I made back badges. You might also look into blacking out your window surrounds.
Would you mind posting a better pic of the panel in front of the pax seat? Mine is a glossy "piano black" but I like the look of yours.
