Default 2013 XKR taillights and infotainment won’t shutoff.

I’ve noticed a few times the screen won’t shutoff and it hangs a jag logo. Now I’m having the corner brake lights stay on. My battery might be weak at this point from a few dead starts. I always unhook the battery and charge without vehicle connection. Any ideas? I’m attempting the hard reset procedure touching both cables together for 30 seconds and then a 30 minute nap. I don’t like the idea of touching the cable to a hot battery. Any recommendations as to what to do next?

You may want to have your battery checked out at Auto Zone or another auto parts retailer.

Sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one. Headlight switch was on parking lights instead of auto or off. Makes total sense and I’m an idiot...

What about the infotainment?

I had similar experiences with the screen either not coming on, or not going out.

One time the radio wouldn't turn off at all haha. Gotta love the good ol' Jag electronics

It is the battery. The battery...the battery....the symptoms are a perfect description of battery failure and its results in these cars.

The OP said what the problem was, he had left the lights turned on. See post #3

Yes, that explains the lights but does not explain the touch screen issue - but low battery voltyage does.

So if I'm reading this correctly, you're saying it could be the battery?

The lights ON will also explain the Low Battery Voltage.
