I am presently having the same problem. Here is how my problem arose:
While fueling I had left the ignition on (motor off) to watch gas gauge progress. Gas gauge froze. Tried several times to restart, but gas gauge remained at the low level. I have had this happen on my Hyundai Genesis RSpec and cured it by rebooting the ECU. Same with previously-owned Cadillac.
To reboot the ECU, I disconnected the XK's battery and then took the unconnected battery leads and connected them together for about five minutes. The theory is this allows the many memory capacitors to discharge; and then the motor is restarted using the factory default settings which are, through driving, gradually readjusted. My result was the series of warnings similar to your experience.
I am not sure what I did. Did I only partially discharge these capacitors? Did I short the capacitors? Hope not. Whatever, I have disconnected the battery again and will allow the car to sit for 72 hours in the hope of fully discharging all capacitors capable of discharge.
I welcome your comments and suggestions

I know yours is a later model but the easiest problem to fix that might be causing this is dirty wheel sensors.

Let us know if that works.

This can also be caused by a bad battery or bad connections.
Rey - a hard reset consists of disconnecting batt earth, touching the earth lead to batt +ve for a few seconds then reconnecting it.
You will not have done any harm at all.
Maybe your battery connections aren't good or maybe you 'dithered' when reconnecting. It is important to go for a clean reconnect.
If you still have problems check your battery voltage + we'll move you to a new thread.

I had the same issues years ago on my '05XK. Turned out to be a speed limiter push button switch stuck in the engaged position. Once freed, problem was solved. Worth a try...

Today was the official workshop jaguar and they told me thats it's the abs pump and it cost 1700 euros.

I don't no nothing about mecanic and i'm not shure the problem is that even.
so, next monday they call me to tell me something more else.
let's see.

Wanted to follow up on the resolution of my problem with rebooting the ECU. I rebooted again. This time the hard way, which is just disconnecting the battery for 24+ hours. Same issues arising: transmission, cruise, check engine light, ABS, etc. Drove car and it would not change gears out of first.

My best friend is a true master mechanic who has worked on my cars for over fifty years. His first question has always been, "Did you mess with it." Then he would examine my efforts, and often undo or revise them. This time I asked myself what I had done. All I had done was to install an OBD II reader onto the OBD port. This reader is more than a simple reader. It is a gauge that reports water temp, intake temp, battery voltage, rpm, and many more functions. I forget the brand name, and it is not embossed on the gauge, but ScanGauge is a similar product.

I unplugged the reader from the OBD II port and rebooted using the method of connecting positive and negative batter leads (battery disconnected). On restart all was good. Radio presets were still there. I did have to reset the clock and some other minor vehicle settings.

The moral of the story is that what I thought was just a passive OBD II reader can upset the ECU under certain conditions.

Thank's for tour help. In jaguar Porto teu told me that today trying ti repositório de abs modul . If its ok, well teu told me . If Is not , Is necessary to buy a New modul!!!!

well, today jaguar call me and told me that it's not possible repair de modul.
a new modul cost 1250 euros more or less.
i am hungry because my car has 65k miles, i it's a shame an JAGUAR with 65k miles needs an modul abs ?

I have an AUDI A4 WITH 210K MILES, AN X5 WITH 235 KMILES and zero problems.
I dont understand Jaguar in Portugal.It's my second jaguar and with first one xk8 i have a lot of problems adn with this second , the problems continue !!!
It´s bad, because in a few monthes ago i trougt the exchange my x5 by an new xf Break. But now i've given up.
Is my last jag.
The jag in Portugal is impossible.

Julio,
First clean the wheel sensors as I explained above.
Then check the wires to the sensors

Can someone other than the dealer look at your car? Any good independent repair places near you?

 

No moses near me as an independent jaguar service but is not a good option.

I think in a two days the car is ok, but i have to pay a " new parts"

well, today I picked up the car and we took was:

1 x coil clock to fix an airbag error.
1 x abs Pump

3 x disassemble to repair abs, but then found that no repair.
1 x-diagnosis with ids sdd
4 x modules reprogram
total € 1,962

Good however after placing oda pump and then rescheduled, an error which was the maximum temperature in the car was cold!! , Updated all software modules of various multimedia etc etc, and the error disappeared.

Well, if so, what to do ...
