Does anyone know where I could buy an active exhaust valve for my 2015 XKR? I can't find the part number (and can't find it for sale). Appreciate your help.
A question, not an answer....
Nearly everyone with Active Exhaust disables it by removing Fuse 19....
Why do you want one that works?
Also, could you disassemble it and repair instead of replace?

I wanted to have it as originally designed. I don't mind it being less loud. But yes, pulling fuse 19 is an option especially since the cost of the valve is crazy and unfortunately can't repair it anymore.
Have you tried using the paddle shifters? That keeps the active exhaust valves open on the 5.0L XKR models. See if that makes any difference in the sound of your exhaust. If not, there may be troubleshooting steps in the 5.0L Workshop Manual. The problem may be mechanical, electrical, or both. You can download the Workshop Manual and Electrical Guides, which are located in the Stickies at the top of this Forum. Here's the link: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...enance-227403/
If you are unable to get the valve to work properly, a muffler shop may be able to cut the muffler open and remove the valve, repair it, reinstall it and weld everything back together.
Update for those interested. My mechanic did some "mickey-mousing" and fitted a turbo vacuum control valve from another car. Works fine. And it didn't cost me much as it was an interesting small engineering project for him (as he said: -one gets tired of changing oil and brake pads all day long). The car is much more quiet now - big difference when driving at normal speed in the city. However, that doesn't mean that at some point I will not remove the fuse as I do miss the growling sound .
I was given a bit of advice from a mate who worked as a senior tech with JLR for many years. Don't pull fuse 19 he said as you risk the valve(s) seizing completely and of course a replacement is £££$$$! No matter if you want it want it loud permanently though - although a subsequent owner might not! I tend to put mine into dynamic mode wherever possible!
