Default Anyone know where I can buy these plastic nut inserts for moulding on the trunk lid?

Anyone know a part number, where to buy these plastic nut inserts that are on the trunk lids? I can't seem to remove them to transfer them to my new lid so I would just like to buy 4 new ones. I've attached photos of the piece I'm talking about. Pic shows the clip from the outside of the lid, it is the insert located just above the key hole.

***I've looked on the OEM parts diagrams and JEPC but can't seem to find this part with any certainty

I'm going to run and check out the local hardware store now although this seems like a pretty unique part I'd be surprised to find them at the store.

This is the closest I can find to the actual part, and it's from china

100 Pcs Toyota Acura #6 Screw Size Screw Grommet Interior Floor Mat, Silence Pad Plastic Clip Retainer Fastener Fit 7mm Hole-in Auto Fastener & Clip from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com

The hole I'm measuring on the trunk lid is ~8.35mm though

Default Auvec Auto Fasteners

Anytime you need any kind of automotive fastener for any car, I recommend Auveco Auto Fasteners. Check out their website and then look at their online catalog. If you can't find what you're looking for there ... it probably doesn't exist! Hope this helps.

2007 JAGUAR XK Parts - Direct JPLV Porsche Parts.com

Browse through the Gaudin online site and maybe you'll find it. Item #14 perhaps?

I think #14 on that diagram are for the bolts that hold down the striker plate.
This is the diagram that should have the parts I need. The problem is there is only one fastener,..#7 which appears to be a nut. The part in reality is more of a grommet so that is what is causing the confusion for me

Can you share how to take the moulding off to repaint it? The chrome bar that says Jaguar.
Thanks

Sure no problem, here is a rough and dirty sketch of the process.

Step 1, pop off the 2 clear circular snap covers labeled #8 in the drawing. This will give you access to a couple 10mm bolts, ..remove them.

Step 2, Using a small flat head screw driver you need to carefully remove the 2 rectangular plastic license plate light covers on either side of the trunk release button. If you insert the flat tip of the screw driver on the side nearest the button, you can 'push' or slide the cover horizontally towards the side of the car which should then release.

Step 3, Remove the 2 bolts underneath these covers removed in step 2.

Step 4, Using a larger flat head (wrap with tape to prevent scratching) or plastic wedge, insert screw driver behind the moulding in the location labeled '3' in the drawing. The ends of the moulding have double sided tape and the trick here is to apply a little pressure to release the tape without cracking the moulding. Use heat if necessary.

**you will also need to undo the wire connector, but you can simply remove the rubber grommet and gently pull the wire from the outside of the car to gain access. Removal of the interior trim should not be needed.

Step 4 sounds a little scary. I'm glad I had instruction from you first. I always man handle and break things like this. Thanks for posting the diagram too.lots easier to see what you mean!
