Default Back Seat Replacement

Does anyone know if there is a retro kit to replace the ridiculous back seat in an 08 convertible?
Cheers.

I can't argue with wanting to change it. At least the backseat was flat in my 99 XK8. There is hardly room for my dog's butt in one of those little ice cream scoop seats!

I would love to convert the back seat of my 2010 coupe to a fold down rear seat so that the trunk extends into the back seat. Since no one is ever going to sit back there, I'd rather have more storage and the ability to put longer items. Has anyone done this conversion?

I can understand where you are coming from, I dont know how I managed with out it , and my wife and small dog also love it though it can cost more money shopping, lol.
As far as the coup I cant see how you could have the rear back fold down with the wireing and fuse box back there .speak with Chris. @ Mina perhaps he could help. Bernie

I just picked up a lot of parts from Chris on Thursday, I never thought to ask him about that. I'll stop by next week and see what he's got.

If you take off the panel at the back of the luggage space, you'll see why that's going to be a massive task. That space is occupied by the battery, the nav system and various other modules. Then there's the auxiliary fusebox on the panel between the back seats, and all of its associated wiring. In addition, I think the fuel tank is under the 'hump' in the floor between the luggage compartment and the back seat. Finally, that rear bullhead is likely to be contributing to the car's rigidity and possible safety.

Of course, as I tell my customers, very few things are impossible - all you need is a sufficiently large amount of cash...

Default Mina Gallery

Hi, should mina gallery do a backseat conversion kit, I would be eager to hear about it and it's price.
My Labrador loves to drive along with her head on the armrest and quenched in the backseat. I guess it would be more practical though with the conversion to use the space for luggage transportation as the luggage space isn't that big with the hood down.

You did an incredible job on that. I've been thinking about something similar for my coupe. At the moment, I have to choose between my girlfriend or my dog - they can't both fit at the same time

I'm wondering when it's done if you can buy only the bottom and rear panels. I would be interested in them only.

There is no reason Im sure as this would be part of the kit that would fit the coup as the Tonneau cover is a seperate peice and only used on the convertible if required, I sent Chris all the patterns for the seat -lugage part of the kit. just give him a call or email. Bernie
