Default Bovee 1000 BT trouble

I just upgraded My IPhone to IOS 13.1.2 and noticed that my Bovee is not responding to steering wheel control song selection. Volume still works... anyone else have this problem?

My wife just got an Iphone 11, not sure of the ios version...... I can connect but no music plays, no wheel control either. I couldn't finish the troubleshooting yesterday but I'll get back to it this week. I hope we can get it working!

Ok I got mine working. I forgot I have a different brand but maybe this procedure will work for you too.

Tried that, thx. Only track repeat works and volume. I think a firmware update is next

I had a quick play with this on the way to work this morning and the song selection still works on my iPhone 8 Plus running IOS 13.1.2. That is with Spotify.

Did IOS 13.1.2 update and I have now lost control of my Bovee 1000 BT, it still connects, but I cannot control it from the wheel and I cannot skip to next song from TSD...

I’m going to try a firmware update on the Bovee, see if that works

Do you have a cable that will allow you to plug the Bovee into a computer?

You can order a 30 pin to USB cable from amazon. The old IPod cables work

Have you tried 'forgetting' the bluetooth device and reconnecting to it?

Does this work for Android devices? Any experience with Samsung Note 9 or 10?

It works with Android devices, but maybe not to your satisfaction. I want to share my thoughts and suggest that you read the reviews on Amazon. Note that Bovee markets that 1000 device for specific car manufacturers, so search for "Bovee 1000 for Jaguar Land Rover". Most reviewers are iPod owners, but there are some reviews by Android owners. You might be able to filter those reviews by type of Android device. From what I've read, Android devices lack some of the features that are available to iPhone users, such as displaying the song title and track. I've also read that Bluetooth phone calls don't work while you're playing music with the Bovee 1000.

I haven't made the switch yet because I'm still content to listen to My Music on my ancient iPod Nano. It's plugged into the port in my center console and stays there. It displays the song info on my touchscreen and I have full controls on my steering wheel. And, of course, my BT works for phone calls while I'm listening to My Music, which is automatically muted during phone calls. I don't want to lose any of the functionality I now have if I switch to the Bovee 1000.

Not sure if it is just a function of my iPhone or the car but things like Spotify get muted if I get a call while in my car.

I think that nav guidance does the same thing when the person speaks but I would have to have play to confirm.

So I tried the forget device, didn't change anything... What I have now realized after messing with it this morning, is the back track button works, it's only the forward track that is not working. But whats strange is when I push the forward track button from any of the 3 locations that you can push it ( steering wheel, TSD or the buttons down by AC controls) the display for a short moment shows a change of going to the next track on the TSD where the track number displays, but then goes right back to the track number its on and continues to play. So all the buttons are working and being recognized, but the Bovee won't make the change. I can however use my phone to track forward... I went to Viseeo website to download latest firmware but I cannot get it to download. I emailed Viseeo this morning, waiting on their response.

EDIT: After playing around a little more I have now figured out that the skip/forward track does not work when I go into the playlist folder and choose a playlist.... If I use any other selection like artist or just let the music play or use a streaming service like Spotify or Pandora everything works as it should...
