Default Brake Booster Vacuum Repair Kit

Hello,

I have a craked o-ring on the brake booster vacuum tube at the induction elbow and the dealer told me they can only replace the induction elbow altogether because the parts program only gives them the code for that part.

Can you please help me with a part code for the o-ring?
"Replaced brake booster vacuum tube o-ring at the induction elbow with a new one from the dealer"
Thank you very much!

Hi Andrei,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.

I have moved your post from an unrelated thread in the forum for the X100 to the forum for the X150, which is the Jaguar factory project code for your 2009 XKR.

For some reason the Jaguar parts catalogs don't make the brake booster vacuum connector repair kit easy to find, but the same parts fit several vehicles. The part number for the kit is C2S15816. Here's an example of one place where it is listed in the catalog (it's Part 18 in the diagram):

Here's the package:

And here are the brass bushing and plastic quick-connect collar included in the kit:

Typically you just need to replace the black plastic clip and the O-ring inside the brass sleeve. There's usually no reason to replace the brass sleeve itself.

Cheers,

Don

Just use the o-ring and clip when you get it. It is a lot simpler than trying to remove and install the entire part.

I’ve ordered the part.
I’ll install it and I hope it will throw no more codes.
After two and a half years in the shop and almost 10k spent on the car I hope I will finally get a break 😋

You guys are great!

As they (not me) say here in Missouri, "Hot dawg! Lookee what ya'll found fer me!" Seriously, these replys are exactly what I needed. I'm a bit perplexed as I wonder why I didn't notice brake weakness but, as this car is entirely new to me, maybe it has a lot better brakes than I thought once the vacuum is up to par! I'll get the part ordered asap and let you know how it goes with the code. Thank you all so much for your efforts! This is the best news I've had all day!
