Brake sensors on 2010 XK?

Yes, There are 2 brake sensors on your car. I just had my OEM pads replaced with Ceramic pads and am aware of what the installer went through. There is one sensor on the passenger side rear and one on the driver's side front. My rotors were also warped after only 5,000 miles and I had them replaced with OEM rotors. I then went the ceramic pad route and so far I'm very pleased.What brand ceramic pad are you going with? Good luck.

I'm certain my local independent shop did not have the rear caliper tool to depress the piston, yet it was completed. I now wonder what was used to spin the piston? Curved needle nose pliers?

I have picked up the proper tools for it since. Much easier to get the job done.

I used Akebono in the front for my G35 Coupe for over 8 years. Absolutely no issues at all with very little pad wear. No rotor issues either. Great pad. If they were available for the fronts of my XK I would use them. My main concern has always been the dusting so any ceramic pad will be an improvement. From all the reviews, I thought that stopping would be greatly affected, and that hasn't been the case. Yes the initial bite is somewhat diminished, but that is characteristic of ceramics and there will always be a give and take as there are with tires. Performance tires wear faster and are noisier, touring tires are quieter and last longer, but lose handling abilities. Give and take. Overall I'm thrilled and I'm no longer a slave to cleaning the black dust that got everywhere on my car.
