busted coolant pipe from the overflow tank
Yep, so this long plastic hose/pipe from the top of the coolant overflow tank that travels across the top of the engine and splits at a T tword the front and connects back to the engine in two spots broke, just past the overflow tank. I was able to get it home stopping a couple places to pour distilled water in. Of course, none of my local "dealers" had this part in stock. SNG Barratt said special order probably mid January! Thankfully a dealer in Houston had two of them and could ship to me in Austin. Hoping it would get here today, but doesn't look like it. I have a couple gallons of 50/50 Pink coolant ready to go, just need the part. The connection at the tank is strait forward, as is the left side connection to the engine, the right side is less so, but hoping when I see the replacement part it will be clearer how that connection comes off. Anyone with experience replacing this piece please feel free to chime in. :-)
Will update once I get the part.
Cheers,
Will update once I get the part.
Cheers,
I broke that line on mine several years ago when I removed the oil filter cover. I temp fixed it (for two years) with a small rubber cooling line and four worm clamps. It was replaced when I had all the coolant lines replaced two years ago. I never had a problem with the temp fix.
Have you tried the Jag TPMS Voodoo routine? Drop the tires to 25 psi, drive around, up the pressure to 40 psi.
Well, I have raised them to 40 with no effect. I have not dropped them to 25. May give it a shot.
