Unhappy C0034 front right wheel sensor

The other day I was driving when the car started pulsing the brakes (felt like ABS) even though I was driving normally in the dry. Shortly after that, a number of warning lights came on: ABS, E-Diff, Stability, DSC. I pulled the codes and it is showing C0034, front right wheel sensor. I replaced the sensor and used a camera to inspect the condition of the reluctor ring, cleaning it with brake cleaner and a narrow nylon brush. Cleared codes but the same happens immediately again. Swapped sensors L-R and same happens, same code.

I do not have access to a Jaguar mechanic/dealership. The two near me caused damage to both my vehicles (the other is a 2019 I-PACE... sigh). My assumption is now a faulty ABS module, wiring, or bad reluctor ring (even though it looks OK). Any suggestions before I try to find someone?

I'm in Colorado, USA.

The first thing to do is to make absolutely sure that your battery is fully charged with a resting voltage above 12.6V and fully up to spec as these errors can be classic battery-related issues.

Thanks for the response. I fitted a new battery last month but it was a good idea for me to check the voltage prior to starting the engine and reproducing the problem. I cleared the codes, measured 12.86V, then started the engine and drove down the road. The codes were thrown again. I noticed that a sub-code is also being thrown, C0033, right front tone wheel. I cleaned the tone wheel with a nylon brush but the problem still happens. I've taken it to an independent shop for further diagnosis and I've also asked them to check the battery and alternator. I will update this thread shortly.

you can’t clean the tone wheel…it’s internal to the bolt on wheel bearing

replace the bearing

The battery checked out OK, and the wheel bearing with tone ring was replaced. All OK now. Thanks for the advice!
