Default Checking in at the asylum!

My XKR's been gone almost a year now. Miss it sometimes.

I did have a chance to buy it back but passed. Still don't have a garage.

Just checking in to see how the old inmates are doing!

Just put my 2010 XK Convert. to bed for the winter. Oil change, Stabil in the gas, wash & wax, mouse proofed, full cover, Ctek hooked up. See you in 6 months. Sort of like owning a part time Jag.

Welcome back, still loving my HKS Camp2 (even if there are alternatives now available).
Still have adding oil pressure, whenever I find the time to play around.

There's a "thanks" button?

Seriously, am curious what you replaced the Jag with.

jbmi:
The mouse proofing caught my eye, what does that entail?

Unfortunately nothing. Still don't have a garage yet. The price of lumber has finally come down enough to make me consider it. Who knows. May end up buying the old girl back when done.

Same as I do, except how do you "mouse proof"? I´ve until now found no sign of a mouse in my garage, there´s nothing edible there, doors are tight, floor is concrete, no open window ...

TIA, Hermann

Throw some moth ***** around the perimeter of the car. Dryer sheets inside the engine bay and the cabin. Stuff them down by the harnesses. That seems to be a popular nesting spot. I also put steel wool or rags in the tail pipes but that's a bit extreme.

Ok I've actually been considering a Bentley Continental GT lately. Around an 06 vintage. Wife never liked the ride of the Jag so this is a viable alternative. It's amazing how many low mileage cars there are out there. It also seems the car is somewhat immune to stupid used car pricing. Who knows.

If you think the XK has a sleeping grenade (waterpump). You dont want a pre 2007 GT. They put the vacuum lines over the trans tunnel and if you have a leak, its engine removal time. I was also going to buy a 05-08 GT but passed for various reasons. Ended up with the XK because lets face it, its a sexy beast.
