Default Chrome Grill

I was wondering if there is either a non OEM chrome grill or one of a newer year that would fit my 09?

Mina Gallery $175 ask Chris for a Forum member discount. Fits on top of OEM grille, DIY. Search for reviews on this Forum.

Mina have the wire grills. They look nice but bear in mind that because they arent deep you can see the inside of the nose through them more than the OEM. When I used a black one, I ended up putting black wrap inside the nose so that the colour didnt stand out.

yea I didn't like the look of the Mina grill. I ended up buying an OEM chrome one from a forum member for my bottom grill (so they are both chrome now). You can buy them directly from Jaguar also.

Removing and replacing a grill requires removing the bumper cover, which is a pain. Technically, it should be easy, but it requires removing many fasteners. Just did it on my '07. Factory shop manual describes the procedure in part and poorly.
First, the headlights do not need to be removed. Just loosened is enough. When all the fasteners have been removed the bumper cover will "sit in place" as though all fasteners remain attached. Final removal required moving the cover forward, not downward. The cover is held in place by two hidden male "locators" which are vertically mounted to the body. Factory suggests this is a "two-person task", and I think it is. The cover does not easily slide forward. It sorta just releases. Reassembly is the reverse and definitely requires two people to line up the locators.

On my X100 I could remove and fit a grill from underneath with the front of the car on a set of rhino ramps...is that not possible on an X150...possibly no room to manoeuvre?

It was not possible for me to remove the grill without removing the bumper cover on an '07. I tried. The bumper cover removal process requires removal of the frontmost "belly pan". There was not enough space to wiggle the mesh grill downward and out. Alternatively, I considered unfastening the grill from underneath (11 or so clips) and then wiggling the grilI outward from its opening. There was not enough room for my arm to reach upward to unfasten the clips that retain the grill. Whatever..... anyone R&Ring a grill must remove this front belly pan; and at this point will be able to see for themself whether or not the grill can be removed though the bumper cover opening.
