07 XK. It's a minor annoyance but the coin / lighter cover door won't stay open Any easy fix available?

 

I would take it apart to determine if anything is lodged back there to impede it from locking in the open position. I once made the mistake of setting a credit in the area and it got swallowed behind the door. Had to remove the entire assembly to get it back out!!!

 

Hadn't thought of that. Could be..

 

Have to take out the console to get to the relevant part of the cover mechanism. Think I posted somewhere what I did to fix mine. Was fortunate to find the small plastic locking piece under the console. Used some thin wire to support and hold the piece in place to keep it from falling out again. Still working after a couple years.
