Default COLORS

I would like to purchase, but cannot find my hearts desire ~ is black the only color they come in? I do not want black, they are elegant, but PITA to keep clean. What is your favorite color?

My vote goes to Shadow Grey, exclusive to the 4.2L 2009 XKR Portfolio models. It changes with the sunlight.

Tastefully paired with Ivory and Slate interior. Old school traditional British luxury, real wood veneer and genuine leather almost everywhere.

No tinfoil or carbon fiber for me. Just my old guy taste, others will disagree. That's why JLR offers other choices, including Spun Aluminium and CF.

Lunar Grey Metallic - All The Way!! Changes colors with the sun and different variations of the type of sunlight while out and about.

All Photos were taken at different times of the year and day with an IPhone 11 - no alterations whatsoever.

Radiance Red Metallic is what I have, but if I had known about Emerald Fire before I bought mine, I may have just held out for that beauty.

While we're on the subject of color, I could use your help. When I bought the car a couple of months ago, I was really annoyed by the front bumper color. It didn't match the rest of the car, especially the hood.

I've repainted the bumper twice (two different body shops) since then, but I'm still not happy with the result.

Looking at the color code, my car should be in liquid silver. Both times the color for bumper was mixed on spot because apparently the hood is not in its original color.

This is how it looks most of the time:

But sometimes it would look good:

Also, I've noticed from looking at many XK pictures online that there's often a color mismatch between the bumper and the hood, even in some official Jaguar release photos. Not sure why?

How would you resolve this issue? Is the whole car respray my only option to make it right?

I think the hood is original, as is the rest of your car.
A better color match needs to be made when mixing the paint. Blending the new paint into the hood and f fenders might be needed. But...the color match can be made much better.

Find a proper paint shop. A proper shop would have matched the color correctly including consideration for fade and weathering.

Second paint shop told me that they always have to go "one level darker" for painting the front bumper since its made from plastic and not aluminum like the rest of the car.

Does that make any sense to you since to me it looks like the bumper is darker than it should be.
