Hi,

I previously owned a US spec 2009 XKR PE and it did not generate a confirmation beep/chirp on double lock. I took it to the dealer and they told me that the sounder was bad and replaced the part. I now own a US spec 2010 XKR and it also does not beep/chirp on a double lock. Does anyone know if the XKR MY2010+ utilizes the sounder or horn for the confirmation on double lock? Does this need to be turned on in the software?

The sounder in my 2009 XKR Portfolio went bad, too, and was replaced under warranty. It appears to be a common problem. I suspect it's the same in newer X150 models but don't know for sure.

 

I get a deeper tone with the double click on my 12 vert.

 

On my 2012, I get no beep on first lock either by key or pressing the button on the handle. Should it beep, or can it be turned on? It does beep if I double tap the button or fob.

 

I do and have always had the double-lock chirp on my 2010 XKR. I use it all the time. SUPPOSEDLY, it allows the electronics to go to sleep faster than the (I think) 15 minutes that it takes when not double-locked.
