I have a 2007 XK and my roof isn't opening correctly. Currently the top is down and when I go to close it the front part goes to latch onto the windshield before the back part with the rear windshield sets down onto the car. Everything on the assembly looks out of place on the passenger side and I believe a cable snapped but yesterday I didn't have any issues with it or did anything abnormal.

Any ideas on what do and if it's something I can fix myself?

You may also need to manually lower the top (described in the owner's manual) to reset everything.

 

Not 100% sure if that is the problem. When i'm able to later i'll check it out and see if that works. If not i'll post some pictures and see if anyone can remedy the problem.
