Default Definitive fix to iphone 7 pairing issues with XK?

Guys,
My iphone used to pair fine with my '07 XK until one of the recent updates
(3 months ago?) messed it up and I can't pair with the car anymore.

Is there a definitive fix for this? My online reading tells me that things that I could try include:

1. Turning off the battery for a while
2. Turning off siri
3. Changing Call Audio Routing to Bluetooth Headset from Automatic

Would appreciate your help here- thanks!

Report it to Apple. They broke it. They might even fix it.

If your touch screen menu is set up to timeout back to the home screen turn that feature off while you pair the phone because pairing seems to take quite a long time.

I would try deleting the phone from the car and start over anew.

I've lost paring with my iPhone 7 and as "ralphwg", I fixed it with deleting and re-entering.
I jump between two cars and for whatever reasons, looses the connection.
Ain't technology great........

I would try deleting the phone. That's all. Then replace it with any Android phone. Win-Win!

Also set the maximum time allowed to pair. sorry, I forget the correct terminology but the time it takes to pair some phones is too long so you need to extend the time it takes to search. It's on the touchscreen but it escapes me at the moment.
