That sounds a lot like the Performance Active Exhaust on mine - perhaps slightly more raspy, i.e. a sharper note. But recordings can be misleading, especially played back on laptop & headphones, so it's hard to be sure. Sounds good, though.

I believe that is what I did. I mentioned in another post that I saw the factory performance exhaust option being installed on an XKR and it looked just like mine. I pulled fuse 19 so it is no longer active and stays open full time.

It sounds a lot better with speakers and a subwoofer and even better in person

I would like to try to get a recording downshifting as I think that is where it really growls...

So yours has the centre crossover?
