Does Your Hatch Rattle in Low Temps?
Since Dallas has just now made its way into the 30's and 40's I noticed that my rear hatch or something back there rattles. When the car warms up it is gone. Almost like the rubber gets so tight that it creates slack - then when it expands there is tension and the hatch is now closed tightly.
Anyone ever experience this? If so, is there a way to tighten the hatch link? Or add additional weather stripping so the fit is even more snug?

Have not experienced it...
There i most likely an adjustment of the latch mechanism...that is most likely (in my mind) the culprit. Would not think the weather stripping or related contact areas to be the issue.

Sounds like maybe a rubber piece that gets stiffer in cold weather, as opposed to changing in size, and then makes a noise as the hatch/body flexes while driving. My Supra hatch does the same thing in cool weather. Try weatherstrip dressing solution/spray.

Every hatchback car I've owned had an adjustable latch. Anyone know if the latching can be adjusted on the XK? I'm pretty sure its the hatch itself moving some. May end up leaving it with the dealer and having them sort out.
