Default Enabling Audio Connectivity Module

I live 200 miles from the nearest Jaguar dealership but will be there for another purpose in the next week. Is it possible to have them enable the Auxiliary Audio Input and have me install the module at a later date? I have seen posts where people remove the module and the Aux icon remains on the system screen. I am driving a 2008 XKR Portfolio convertible. Any advice? Thank you.

The AUX input can be enabled by a dealer, regardless if the ACM hardware is connected or not, just show them this picture;

You don't need the ACM hardware though, there are other options, see here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ed-acm-217898/

You ever get it enabled?

I've been calling around dealers in Los Angeles and Ventura County to see if they will enable the aux audio on my 2008 XKR. It is really difficult to communicate what I'm trying to do to the service managers. Anyone in Southern California get this done?

I did quite a bit of testing and re flashing using clone Chinese Mangoose cable , works great knock on wood. I cant suggest it to others though in case you will not get so lucky it works great for me but at the same time I have other equipment to fix any issues if reflashing fails.

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I have been out of the country. I gave the Spokane, Washington Jaguar dealers the image I got from Cambo (look above) and they did it even though I haven't installed the hardware. The word AUX now appears on one of the audio screens.

Default Cost to enable AUX

Just curious. I have been wanting to add the Bluetooth to the AUX and move away from the fm modulator connected to the antenna. What did the Spokane Jag charge for this?

Thanks.

Nothing. He had the diagnostic module open for another problem and just changed one option.

Expect an hour labor charge unless you dealer charges in 30 minute increments. It's a 10 minute job but they prolly have a minimum rate. Also, have to put it in the bay, pull it out, etc...

Thanks. We have one shop here in Kennewick that can do it. $149. Just like you said. Minimum of one hour. Hopefully I can get a cut rate since it was just there for transmission flush and new coolant expansion tank for $2k. Want it completely ready for spring again.
