Default Engine Cover Screws, Battery Cover Screws

Hello,

After searching the forum, I can't seem to find the names of these fasteners, as my 14 XK is missing:
- Several of the plastic screws that fasten covers in the engine compartment
- All screws that fasten the battery compartment cover (I don't know what they look like, because they're all missing)

Please see attached photos.

Can anyone let me know the name of these fasteners? I also searched jagbits.com, but I can't tell which parts I need, because they don't show photos.

If anyone knows where I can order them, it's greatly appreciated, too. Thank you!

I think you are looking for Ford Radiator Sight Shield Retainer, 24.5 Hd Diameter

Jaguar P/N C2P11582, XR881291, or XR87509

Ford P/N W705957-S300 or W706519-S300

Best price I could find is at
ClipsAndFasteners.com - Automotive Retainers,Clips and Fasteners

They are about $10.00 for a box of 10.
How do you get pictures to show as a small size in your posts instead of HUGE like mine below?

The screws/nuts for the boot are different from those under the bonnet.

The ones I referenced above are for under the bonnet. I have a convertible and don't know what the ones in the boot look like or the part number.

I also have a vert. The nuts/screws in the boot are more substantial than the plastic twist off for under the bonnet. In order to get at them you have to remove the luggage separator. They are located in the corners of the panel which properly fits in one way only.

Stevem69,

The fasteners for the engine bay listed above are the correct part. Thanks for answering, davchr! There is a discount code for 5%, maybe 10% off. I think it is "facebook".

The trunk clips are available at Terry's Jaguar Parts for about $5. Here is a link:
https://www.terrysjag.com/mm5/mercha...Search=C2P3823

If you are looking for a cargo net that works, here's the one I just purchased:
Envelope Trunk Cargo Net For JAGUAR XK 07-15 XKR-S 12-15 XK8 97-06 XKR 00-15 NEW | eBay
I'm happy with it. Happy shopping!

Stevem69,

I have nine of the engine compartment clips you are looking for. I only need one but ordered a box of 10. If you use the forum PM feature and include name/address, I will put a few in the mail to you. How many do you need?

I don't think that is the correct part for a vert. It may work in the coupe. Which do you have? If you are driving a vert, I will send you a picture over the weekend.

This is a picture of the rear cargo clips that work on a coupe. Can any of you 'vert drivers confirm that this is what your clips look like? I couldn't verify this from online photos.

davchr, thanks for the part numbers and the clipsandfasteners.com pages! By the way, I don't know what I did to get smaller pics displayed on the page. I used the INSERT feature while viewing the "Upload Image" window, so I'm not sure if that did the trick.

IanXF, thank you also for the clipsandfasteners.com pages!

ralphwg, thank you for the info, as well. I have a coupe, so I should have mentioned that.

winstonsalemncxk, those must be the battery cover fasteners I'm looking for. I'll also PM you. Thank you!

I greatly appreciate all of your help!

I have not seen any clips like that on my convertible.

Are the trunk fasteners you are looking for shown in the picture below? (#9 or #2?)

I will just say that when I was looking for my car, those fasteners under the hood were something I looked for. The vast majority of the cars I looked at were missing some or all of them. I felt like in a meticulously maintained car, they should be there. I mean, really, there is not much reason to remove them anyway. So I made it a criteria when looking at on-line pictures to see if they were there. If not I became much more suspicious of the car.

davchr, it looks like the clips (#2 in the diagram you showed) that winstonsalemncxk also recommended are the ones I need:
https://www.terrysjag.com/mm5/mercha...Search=C2P3823

I'm ordering them with terrysjag.com today. Thank you!

Funny that you mentioned this. This is my dealer test as they always tell me when they do my oil change that they also do a 20 point check of the car. So before I take the car in I remove one or two of these push in clips in the engine compartment. So far the 3 annual services I have had the car comes back will all of the fasteners in place. So they either think they lost one or they replace out of courtesy. Considering the service costs $160 things like this are easily absorbed by them.

This is a great forum! I mailed a couple of the engine bay clips to Stevem69. He sent me this beautiful notecard of appreciation. The camaraderie and advice here are first rate and I am glad to be connecting to so many other X150 fans!
