I bought my complete assembly from partsgeek. There are links at the bottom of this page for seals and o-rings associated with the thermostat assembly:

Ah, ok, I see you have a 2009, try this page instead:

Here is what we have found!

So, the thermostat definitely broke, but also looks like the plastic in the pic below is broken, but we don't see any loose pieces anywhere.

The smaller housing piece that I ordered looks fine but we will replace since we will have it. The worst part is having to order parts from several different sources to get the all here in a timely manner.

Yeah, not good. I would pull the water pump out and inspect the plastic vanes. The missing chunks end up down there and can cause havoc. Pretty simple to remove but messy since it's lower than the coolant drain ports.

For reference, here's the opening for the water pump once it's out of the way. Straight shot up to the T stat housing.

Agree, those "extra" parts can really cause problems in the coolant system!

So I ordered so.e part from some South Carolina dealership, they had one of the parts on back order, so I went to Rock Auto and they had some part at really good prices but not all part so I ordered from there too. THEN, I found ALL the parts at a good price at Autohausaz.com with 2 day shipping and needed them here by Thursday so I ordered again. Cancelled the SC order for refund, Rock Auto parts arrived today and will return unopened and Autohausaz.com parts due to ship today and arrive Thursday BUT they shipped yesterday and arrived TODAY! I am impressed with them, they had all the prints and baskets available and their prices were pretty much same as the others. I will definitely order from them again. I got the whole housing assembly, thermostat, seals and gaskets, plus a waterpump and gasket and 2 day shipping for $203.00.

Car is all fixed! We replaced the entire housing, housing cover, thermostat and since we had the part and it was in pieces we went ahead and put in the new water pump even though the impellers were not damaged. She runs like a champ. Thanks for all the help!

Ranchero50,
I'm curious, were you able to get to the water pump by just removing the supercharger belt and accessory drive belts?
Thank you.
