Default Exhaust type

I had some time and was under the car today to take a look at the exhaust system. Do I assume this is the similar system to the XKR-S.

its the X-Pipe so it is the Performance Active Exhaust. I heard a XKR recently with this exhaust system and unfortunately it did NOT sound as loud as my XKR-S.... I dont know why maybe the tune?!?!? My XKR has the 2 resonators up front and sounds quite a bit muffled compared to the XKR-S. Also on the XKR when I hit the Dynamic button the sound does not change like it does in my XKR-S. I believe, but I am not quite sure...that when you hit the Dynamic button in the XKR-S or the Performance Active Exhaust all the baffles open up making it essentially a straight back cat back system. Does anyone have any other info about this? I do know in my garage with the sound amplified that if I hit the Dynamic button the tone changes for the GOOD

I found it interesting that when sitting and idling and you press the dynamic button you can hear as the exhaust note gets louder.

My performance exhaust behaves the same as your XKR-S. By pressing Dynamic Mode it gets noticeable louder and better with lots of popping and crackling. I also have the dynamic pack which is the same as the XKR-S; this may have something to do with the similarity to the XKR-S also.

It sure looks the same. Mine did not change the tone at all when i pushed the dynamic button. As it was explained to me the XKR-S dynamic exhaust is opne, then closes during a certain RPM and then reopens. Pushing the dynamic button would keep it open all the time. In my Porsches I could hear the valve actuators open and close when I pushed the button here I hear nothing. I had my wife stand next to the car and she concurred that nothing changed at idle. Now mine may have been "non-working" ... I don't know, I may give it another try when I go on a trip with my wife after I have the HFC installed next week.
