Angry F-type iconic classic already??

In an article that will be released tomorrow, auto review journalist, Zach Doell, has already deemed the Jaguar f-type v-8 s/c as a classic.

He comes to this conclusion due to its iconic shape and design and accoutrements. Wtf??

Do the xk, xkr, xkrs, xkrs-gt look like granny underwear ?

Some 'slpainin needed here, Zach!!

My Jag dealer has service specials for "classic" Jaguars. To them, 2008 or older is a classic...

I see your point however, Zach believes it is an iconic classic in the same genre as the e- type. That is my point of contention, in that the xk series look more e-type than the f-type

Too early to say. He should be talking about whether the XK is a classic

How to Spot a Future Classic Car - Boldride.com

I think you may be taking his statement out of context... this whole article is about how to pick a future classic.

I agree with most of his article. The F-Type could well be a future classic. Maybe an X150 would be, too. What specifically do you disagree with?

i truly believe the xk series of cars are more destined to be a classic by their design and the haute couture image they inspired when they were introduced, rather than a "new kid on the block"

Maybe, but in that sentence the author was merely pointing out currently produced models that have the potential to become future classics. The X150, while still technically under production for a matter of days, is for all intents and purposes discontinued.
