F-Type non-camo rendering!
Jaguar F-type roadster (2013) - engines confirmed | Secret New Cars | Car Magazine Online
I'm really liking this. Although the rear 3/4 shot as a convertible is leaving me a little up in the air. It was great as a coupe... jury is out when it's topless.
But putting the supercharged 5L in there is going to make it have some serious oomph.

Thanks; let's hope the Coupe is better looking..................in the past they have always been .............but I'm a bit bias! starting in 1960 with a XK140 MC Coupe, a 1963 E Coupe, a 1967 E Coupe, a 1968 E Coupe and now a 2007 XK Coupe..............
Don't see how they can better the 2007 Coupe!
Very little wrong with it except lack of oil and temp gauges and the speedo should be on right (like our XK8!). And no documentation on how stuff is supposed to work eg.
CATS, SAM muffler..................oh, and Nav System should display in direction of travel (needs GPS of course)
Seattle Jag Club Spring Rally this Saturday........

Great find...thanks for posting! I'll be off to the store shortly to pick up that mag.
I agree that the XKE and current XK/XKR are very attractive coupes, but I passed them both up to purchase their wildly attractive convertibles. I had looked at the XKR coupe a couple of times, but I remember the first time I saw the convertible...and I just couldn't take my eyes off it. I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder
But with the F-Type vert I have mixed feelings. I think it will look great, but I wouldn't want to own two convertibles, and I wouldn't trade the XKR vert because I still want its unique combination of GT luxury, space and performance. Those who want a more traditional sports car will undoubtedly prefer the F-Type. But the F coupe is a real stunner, doesn't replace or take anything away from the current coupe...and will look awesome parked next to the XKR vert. I've been deciding what other car to sell to make room for it, basically since the first time I laid eyes on it! Just sorry it won't be available until later.

Gonna agree with both you and Moses...looks like a Honda S2000 from the front (if not a *little* Maserati too) and a Beemer from the back.
I do hope this is not the final model.

I would say, "I like the current generation Z4 much better." My reaction to the F-Type is "ho-hum."

I agree the coupé looks better, I see a lot of E-Type / XKE in the rear window.
Don't want to keep banging on about the BMW thing, but I saw a Z8 on the road yesterday & the rear lights caught my attention;
Z8
Now, add the semi-circle from the Z4
And you get the lights from the F-Type
But truth be told, the biggest issue I have with the styling is a lack of "family resemblance"
For example
Aston's all have similar nose & tailight styling.
Porsches all have the family nose
BMW's all look like BMW's
And so on...
When you look at the Jag line-up together; XF, XJ, XK & now F-Type, the styling is starting to get a bit random.
Sure the XF & XJ have a similar front end. The XK always stood on it's own style-wise, but that was OK cause it was the only coupé. But it's getting hard to see the lineage with them all now. It's like they've all got the same mother, but each kid has a different father, except for the XF & XJ, maybe she was with the brother-in-law that time.
Oh dear...

Counterpoint: It's almost impossible to tell WHICH Aston model it is because they are too similar. And as for BMW, a 35k car looks almost identical to an 80k car. I don't mind having some shared heritage, but I don't want the exact same thing to span a 50k or more price point. There has to be a middle ground somewhere.

Nice side shot that I think shows it's unmistakably Jaguar from end to end...and looking even better knowing there can be 535hp under its vented hood!
Jaguar F-Type is coming with 5.0 liter V8 engine
