Default F-Type rear exhaust box on an xk/xkr ?

Just throwing this out there just for curiosity sake. Could a F-Type exhaust rear box be fitted to an xk/xkr. The pipes could be modified to fit and maybe the car tuned to suit. I'm happy with mine, plenty of crackle/pop for me. But it would be interesting to see the noise level from the 4.2 and 5.0 models and if the car sounds like the F-Type. probably the engine management would go crazy or maybe not. The article below explains the F-Type system,
2014 Jaguar F-Type is calibrated for sonic delight - SAE International
Pic 1 is the xkr exhaust, 2 and 3 are the the F-Type, the two types, the 3rd pic would be easy to modify, as you can see a bit of pipe work and brackets would be just needed

The F-Type exhaust tone comes mostly from the Engine Management, and it is software that creates the crackle-snap sounds by varying the timing and injectors and such.
............ooooorrrrrrr so I've been told (by my dealer).

Interesting and the article was good too. Looks like the 3rd picture on the right has more of a direct flow to the outside pipes which would maybe louder then both of the others. I'm sure you could fit both systems with a little pipe work. Just need to make sure you don't put to much back pressure into the system.

The 4.2 XKR rear muffler is already more or less a straight-through system when the valves are open;

You won't get the F-Type's tone and the pops & crackles just by fitting an F-Type rear muffler, that's all locked away in the tune.

You can't have crackle and pop with out a bit of snap

Holy Smackers Dom!! 5000 Beans!! I ended up get the full open non-valved Spires Stage 3 for my XKR - was well worth the 2000+ price tag.

I'd be willing to bet the cats made a much bigger difference in the volume than the rest of the system.

Nope, I got the full valved, computer controlled, remote exhaust ... a lot more but an insane loud exhaust, most likely not to everybody's liking but my wife loves it now.

Did you ever try the rest of the system with the OEM cats?

of course, it is the biggest baffle in the system. The rear box alone will not be worth the money with stock cats. I had completely straight through rear mufflers from flowmaster and it did not make a big difference over the stock system.

the biggest difference on my exhaust on my XKRS was having 200 cell high flow cats, best sound improvement.

Capristo is known to be a loud exhaust in general.

Will the F-type R exhaust fit up to a 5.0L XK/XKR ?
the mounting points look very similar!
