Good find! Anyone who needs these fasteners should buy them from Amazon since they're a fraction of the cost of what I paid for mine. Just make sure that you disinfect the package before you touch it because it's shipped from China.
The fasteners that TexasTraveler linked to above are the ones I recently used on my 5.0. I can confirm that they fit perfectly. I assume they'll work on the 4.2 as well. You just have to line them up with the holes and push. They go in without a problem.
Got some of these plastic clips from SNG Barratt awhile ago but many here have found better prices. They were not however, able to offer any help finding the Dzus fasteners. https://www.sngbarratt.com/English(U...XR812941010%60
Still cannot find the Dzus fasteners. It seems that Jaguar does not offer these as a replacement part but only with the engine cover.
From what I can find they are a Dzus Rapier D2 Quarter-Turn Stud
Damn Traxtar,
You got that seller " poo pee boy" more business than he has seen in months. (we need to do our part to help China)
Bet he is surprised the distance American cheapskates with $100k cars will go to save one dollar. Even Chinese dont want to buy from other Chinese.
He sold 5 since you posted that link. And had not sold one since Feb- even that was a offer less than his asking price!

I found these on Southco’s website but the size required is shown as non-stock throughout their system of dealers. From previous experience with Southco (pre retirement) they are very helpful but unless you want thousands of a part you are pretty much out of luck. Making 1 or 2 or even a hundred is not an option. I have contacted them and got a response from 2 people but so far nothing on actually getting anything. I’ll post whatever answer I receive.
Thank you for the lead. There lots of Audi, VW and motorcycle fasteners her but nothing of the correct size for Jaguar.
I have added a drawing for reference.
I just ordered some. They will be quarantined on a ship for three weeks, so should be okay.
I always wipe down packages I get. Even regular post.
Evidently NOT. The seller sent me a message that he has no stock and doesn't have a date for restocking, so Refund and Cancel.
(I misquoted in the earlier post, it wasn't Texas Traveler's link I used)
Woo Hoo! It took four weeks, but I just got these! I'd actually forgotten and was surprised when I opened the package and doused it with Lysol.
Four weeks and $3.21 and free shipping!
$19.61 for ONE PIECE and $147.11 for SHIPPING? Are you daft, man?

$3.21 ÷ 9 fasteners = $19.61 each plus $147.11 shipping. Chinese math!
There is a 1/4 turn screw used on the Land Rover Discovery 2 which I think will be a suitable replacement for the engine cover screws... I say think because I haven't tested one out, but they look oh so similar...
Land Rover part number
PZM100060
They aren't cheap though....
EDIT
And I think perhaps the rubber grommet could be Land Rover p/n PYA10011LA
