Default First problem with new XK: water in the trunk

Hi colleagues, after a first weekend (with bad weather) I discovered my first problem of my new XK Coupe: water in the trunk. The "lowest" alcantara-piece on the left side is soaked at the bottom and the water flows/drips from the left shock absorber mounting into the trunk/area of the spare wheel. Not too much, but enough to not ignore it.

Is that a known issue and where can the water come from?

Thx in advance,
bernd

Hi, thx. The car is a model 2008 with antenna in the spoiler - and the antenna of the up-to-2007 model should be on the right side, or?

I haven't heard anyone else talking about such a leak. The rear hatch is really good at dumping water/snow into the luggage compartment if you don't open it carefully & give it a few shakes before fully opening it, but I expect you'd have noticed that if it happened.

I guess it would be a good idea to carefully inspect the seals around the opening to see if any of them are split.

Quick update: water has stopped, Sir! It was the seal of the left rear window.

Love to drive my XK every day - today back from the dealer on the "Autobahn" with low traffic...

I think I may have a left rear window seal problem as well... what all did it take to fix it!?!?

Sorry, Lothar - I was in a hurry and did not ask in detail. Window obviously came out, a new seal and I believe the chrom around is also new. The Jag-dealer has fixed it and I have not payed the repair.
