Default Steering Wheel Wood Trim removal

I would like to wrap my steering Wheel with a leather wrap, I was wondering if the wood trim on the steering wheel will pry out, or is it permanently installed ?? thanks for any input..

You could probably find someone who would swap their leather steering wheel for your wood trimmed.

I have had two XKs and 08 that I swapped for a 12 which I still own. Both have heated and leather wrapped steering wheels. Which XK do you have?

The wood version was only available in 2007. I ordered one for my convertible be used they were no longer offered as an option in 2008.

The wood does not come off and as mentioned previously someone here would probably love to have yours.

I had no they were that limited... wow...

I love my wood covered wheel (although I was uncertain I would like it when I bought the car, as I am a very aggressive back-roads driver).
If they are in fact that limited I certainly hope the OP finds a buyer rather than destroying one!

My goal was to preserve the leather by wrapping a leather steering wheel wrap, but I do not want to cover up the wood..I was wondering if I could wrap the steering wheel and trim it so the the wood would still be visible, it would have been easier if the wood was able to be removed then reinserted..

thanks
