Default Floppy Glove Box Door

I have a 2008 XKR with the floppy glove compartment door issue. I am trying to do the repair outlined in the Jag TSB .JTB000191/2010. I have instruction 76.52.03 to remove the glove compartment. This instruction says to remove the passenger side footwell trim panel (3 clips). I know there are several threads on this issue but it is not clear to me which panel to remove. Which panel are they talking about?

A previous owner made the repair described in the TSB. What I have found is the damper arm is broken clean off from the glove box door. So I will need to devise some way to reattach or glue the damper arm back on or replace the glove box completely (used on EBAY at $445, ouch!).

Thanks for any help given.

It’s the soft panel above the passenger feet, the 3 clips, along the bottom edge of the glove box, squeeze to release.

@BLD see this thread where I have documented my fix to the exact same problem of the arm breaking off from the door. Please note my comments on the actual damper mechanism having a lot of stiction which I think is the root cause of the failure.

3 months on my glovebox still works fine.

Yup, mine looks just like your pictures. I will check out my damper too. Thanks.

My panel is missing completely! Maybe that is why I didn't understand what the instruction was talking about.
