BTW, i see you've owned quite a few MB's. A friend is offering me a '75 450SL for cheap. what do I need to look out for? never owned an MB, but not afraid to turn a wrench on one.

72,73,74 mb's with efi ( first gen bosch) were great in their day. 50 years later many, many of the EFI parts that wear/fail are no longer available. Fuel tank sender, a high failure part is NLA. A single part can render it dead in the water.
