At first glance that appears to be very expensive. But you're in Canada, where gasoline is sold by the Liter and the Canadian dollar is worth 0.73 $US. In $US terms, that's $87.60.

You didn't say how many Liters you bought, so I couldn't calculate the equivalent cost per gallon in $US. There are approximately 3.785 Liters per Gallon.

Well as long as the oil execs are their friends are raking it in, what am I complaining about.

We are not doing that badly in Canada, My gas has risen 1/3 in cost overall. I think people in California are paying as much as the Canadians are..

Well, after all, we do pump a surplus for ourselves from the ground...

A lot of my friends and acquaintances are going the Tesla route. Not for me, but with the right setup (solar with proper storage) they charge it for free.
