Default GPS/DVD module

My GPS has a mind of its own, it puts me in random places miles from the correct place. The hidden menu shows 0 statellites although once or twice it showed 4. I have replaced the antenna in the boot lid, tried plugging it in directly at the back of the DVD unit with a suitable fakra cable adapter. Not easy when its a convertible and I am 5ft7 so its a long reach and hard on the stomach muscles! I am now wondering if I plugged it in to the right connector. Despite trawling the workshop manual I cant identify which plug is which at the back of the unit. There seems to be a number of them. Can one of you experts advise me. Thanks

The pink connector on the back of the DVD unit is the one for the GPS antenna. Full thread here:

Many thanks, that was the one I used but still no luck so I guess it must be the unit itself.

Could be the antenna. Another member had the same problem recently here.

I wonder if the OP's new GPS antenna was actually a used one?
