Default Helpful Brake Rotor Info for X150 XK-R

So I wanted to share what I have found while researching replacement Brake Rotors for my 2007 XK-R. Everywhere I looked the aftermarket and even OEM replacement rotors were pretty expensive for a piece of Iron. I will list below what I found.

OEM is a Bendix - FRONT ROTOR Part #PRT6026
AC-DELCO #18A2618
CENTRIC# 120.20024
JAGUAR# C2C25337
QUALIS# 45479
RAYBESTOS# 980646
WAGNER# BD180372

OEM Brand - Bendix - REAR ROTOR - PART#PRT6022
AC-DELCO# 18A2704
AIMCO# 34384
CENTRIC# 120.20022
JAGUAR# C2C25339
QUALIS# 45476
RAYBESTOS# 980644
WAGNER# BD180228

I have found this rotor for as little as $60 on RockAuto. Information maybe well known but I didn't find anything using the Search feature as to who made the OEM Rotors that came on the XK-R, now I know its a Bendix. So buying a rotor from AutoZone or O'Reilly or CarQuest at least here in Texas will net you a rotor equal or better than what came with the car.

Anyone considering buying the rotors from dealership may wish to reconsider or possibly negotiate with the parts department since you know you can source a Bendix for $60 or less online.

Where did you find the info? I believe the 5.0 XKR system is ATE (a.k.a 'Teves'). I've looked on their site, and I can only find info for the front disc, as follows:

Front: 380mm Part no. 436122 (Jag C2P 12622)

Same unit '09 onwards for XKR, XKR-S, XFR, XFR-S and XJ. Weirdly, they have info for the rear pads - nothing on rear disc or front pads, which seems a bit bonkers.

Default Bendix Catalog

I found the OEM maker information from hours of deep digging on Google results. I did however find the Bendix and other manufacture part numbers as well as specifications from the following link

Bendix I-Parts Mobile

Just click on the + sign next to "Applications where used"

The Technical Guide for the 07 XKR seems to agree with you for the 4.2's as well. Maybe the system is a Teves one but parts were subcontracted?:

"XKR models use Teves-supplied ‘R’ performance brakes with non cross-drilled rotors, as used on the XJR and S-TYPE R models."

I couldn't find where that Bendix website says that Bendix is an OEM rotor and pad manufacturer and supplier to Jaguar for the XKR. Maybe they are, but I think all they're saying is that they sell rotors that meet the listed specifications. Where are they made? USA? China? The "applications" dropdown for the 2009 Jaguar XKR says "all models" but those rotors don't fit my car. And that website doesn't mention my Alcon brakes, which have different specifications. I think this is just a cross reference chart. Buyer beware! Might not be OEM. I wouldn't risk my safety by buying non-OEM brake parts just to save a few hundred bucks. Just my

ATE/Teves is now part of the Continental group. Perhaps they simply don't sell some components direct to the public.

Ksport sells 16" (aka 400mm) rotors but they are only guaranteeing them to fit their brake kits. Still waiting for the to confirm the thickness of their rotors and if the rotor hats will have the correct bolt pattern.

$1250 for the pair....

Question 2014 XKR (X150) Brake Discs (Brake Rotors) & Pads

Hello, apologies for bumping an older thread but didn't want to start a new one with multiple threads on the topic already existing.

Need to change the brake discs (rotors) and pads on my car (2014 XKR X150 @ 92,000 miles).
Plan to stick to OEM brake spec (don't plan any performance upgrades).
Remember seeing a YouTube video, where an XKR-S was upgraded with Pagid brakes but I don't see any listings for the humbler XKR.

This is the information I have regarding current part numbers.
Jaguar brand Disc / Rotor:
  • Front: C2D61076 (Kit of 2)
  • Rear: C2D61077 (Kit of 2)
Jaguar brand Pads:
  • Front: C2P26236
  • Rear: C2D60655
Wear Indicators:
  • Front : C2P12722
  • Rear: C2P24219 (C2D2976 ?)
Have been looking at (cheaper?) alternatives from different OEM manufacturer's, and these are the part numbers that I found.
Front:
  • ATE Brake Disc (Article# 24.0136-0122.1 Trade# 436122 GTIN/EAN 4006633386623)
  • Brembo PRIME UV Coated Rear Disc Brake Rotor (09.D433.11)
  • Bosch QuietCast Premium Disc Brake Rotors (31011497)
  • Zimmerman Coat Z (Article# 290.2264.20 GTIN/EAN 4250238757139)
Rear:
  • ATE Brake Disc (Article# 24.0126-0174.1 Trade# 426174 GTIN/EAN 4006633386579)
  • Brembo PRIME UV Coated Rear Disc Brake Rotor (09.D434.11)
  • Bosch QuietCast Premium Disc Brake Rotors (31011496)
  • Zimmerman Coat Z (Article# 290.2265.20 GTIN/EAN 4250238757146)
The equivalent Jaguar Part Numbers listed on the OEM manufacturer's reference older superseded numbers, so I can't be sure whether they match the car.

Also, I've been seeing a discrepancy in sizing:
  • Front: 380mm vs 355mm
  • Rear: 376mm vs 326mm
Can anyone clarify the correct sizing, and whether the Part Numbers from the OEM manufacturer's fit?

Thanks!

Failure to change brake fluid leads to caliper failure.
Caliper failure leads to brake upgrade opportunity.
Always measure rotors before ordering replacement parts.

All I can add is that for a 2014 XKR the stock brakes are 380 mm front and 376 mm rear.
The 355 mm and 326 mm sizes you mention are for lesser models.

ATE was OE for discs and rear pads. Jurid for the front pads.
You could consider Ferodo for the rears, which have a slightly grippier compound, like the Jurid fronts (DOT GG). The Jurid/Ferodo combination works well.

Have been consistent with my brake fluid changes, and don't think I can justify the cost of a big brake kit at this time.

Within the US, RMEuropean and AutohausAZ seem to have the ATE front & rear discs, and the Jurid front / Ferodo rear combinations available. Will see whether I can locate ATE rear pads anywhere, else will go with what's available.

All parts are available at Jaguar dealers but almost double the price.

Thumbs up Front Pads & Rear Wear Sensor issue.

Following up on my brake rotor/pads change. These are the parts I went with.

Brake Parts:
  • Front Brake Discs/Rotors (Qty 2): C2P12622 [ATE Brake Disc (Article# 24.0136-0122.1 Trade# 436122 GTIN/EAN 4006633386623)]
  • Rear Brake Discs/Rotors (Qty 2): C2D61077 [ATE Brake Disc (Article# 24.0126-0174.1 Trade# 426174 GTIN/EAN 4006633386579)]
  • Front Brake Pads (Qty 1-set (4 pads)): C2P26236 [JURID Brake Pad Set (Part# 573150J)] - Did not fit.
  • Rear Brake Pads (Qty 1-set (4 pads)): C2D60655 [Ferodo (Part# FDB1766)]
  • Front Wear Indicator/Sensor (Qty 1): C2P12722 [BOWA Part# A1456005]
  • Rear Wear Indicator/Sensor (Qty 1): C2P24219 [Febi Bilstein Part# 47374] - Did not fit.
The shop that worked on the car refit the existing front brake pads because they had enough meat (about 75% life remaining). The new JURID pads wouldn't slide in even with the caliper pistons retracted all the way.
The shop ordered and fit an alternate MFR part for the Rear Sensor (need to figure out which brand).

Any advise on the Front Brake Pad set JURID, or an alternate set from another MFR?

C2P26236 should fit but Jurid 573150J is not an exact equivalent iirc, they are too thick by a couple of mm.
Jaguar originals gets you the "310 compound" pads. But they are 18 mm thick, I think! Most pads that suggest they fit are actually 20 mm thick and fit the similar calipers in BMWs and Rolls Royces of that time but not the Jaguar variant. I have a new set in the garage. I'll see if I can find them and confirm the thickness.

C2P24219 [Febi Bilstein Part# 47374]. Hmm! Again the manufacturer says it is an equivalent but the picture looks wrong. It would fit a pad with the half-moon opening, as on the front, but the rears need the stud fit that is placed in the center of the anti-rattle spring. Delphi 39757, ate 24.8190-0960.2 look right.

That makes sense. The Jurid 57350J packaging did mention other car brands including BMW.
Might try Textar pads or just go with Jaguar branded ones from a dealer.

Will look into the rear sensor.
Appreciate your reply.
