Hey guys! DIY headlights change out 2014 jaguar xkr ??
Hey all
curious if anyone has tried installing new headlights bulbs on a 2014 Jaguar XK?? Removed the 3bolts as indicated. 2from top 1under wheel well cover but still can’t move the headlight. I mean it wiggles around but doesn’t completely let loose in order to change your Blub, any ideas as to what I’m doing incorrectly??
TIA

Dag did you disconnect the harness before trying to remove
I believe on the 2012 on facelift cars that you have to release the bolts that hold the bumper on on the side that you are changing the bulb and ease it forward slightly otherwise you won't be able to fully remove the headlight,
Hello
no i didn’t. Had read in couple treads it wasn’t necessary to do so on our model year xk but I fully intend on trying again later today & loosening the hose in the process.
i’ll keep you all posted on how it goes!
Thanks guys really appreciate the responses

My Indy were able to change the bulbs on my 2014 without taking anything apart, not that on my car (and probably yours) the bulbs are limely to be DS3's (same as F-type) although the on-line resources said it was DS1.
Went for osram nightbreakers and Indy didnt charge me for fitting

Most important thing when removing on the pre facelift models is to be patient and not do a lot of jiggling or twisting or you'll break the tab that lines up next to the wheel well bolt. Ask me how I know.🙄
