iCarsoft LR 3.0 - Seat Calibration
Hi folks, hopefully a fellow owner of the LR 3.0 can give me some pointers. My passenger seat is lacking its full range and is in need of a re-calibration. I got the LR 3.0 as apparently this can do the calibration (not keen to invest in a full SDD setup yet). I can get all the way to starting the process then get an error on the icarsoft screen saying "Communications failure. Application failed.". The seat controls work (besides seat incline), and checking the actual seat module itself shows no faults. If I go and test the module I can manually make the seat work and sit upright as it should be. Battery voltage was around 13v (on a battery maintainer throughout).
The driver's seat was recalibrated by the dealer earlier this year and works fine now. If I try recalibrating that seat I get the same error message. Any pointers?

I seem to recall, hopefully correctly, that another owner posted in a thread here somewhere, that even though the directions stated to do the calibration with the car NOT running, that he found it would only work with the car running.
I can get my seats to move about with my iCarsoft but also can't get a recalibration. My seats stop performing well after a battery disconnect and I often have to try and move them about with the software afterwards. I can put them where I want with the tool.
On the passenger seat that seemed harder to get moving ,I discovered that on the seat incline, that mine will move on it's own with the switch if you hold the switch in the position you want it to go for a period of about 45 seconds. It feels a long time and you can't think it will work but it does on mine . It suddenly comes alive .

Thanks for the responses guys. When I'm next with the car I'll try:
1) calibration in accessory mode
2) calibration with engine running
3) holding the seatback incline switch for >45 sec and see what happens
I've also sent off an email to iCarsoft to see if their tech support can help. But don't expect anything this side of xmas.

Just closing out this thread. iCarsoft sent me a few files to load and try and still no dice. I picked up an Autel AP200 and that worked first time with calibrating the seats.

I'll take it after having a seat that wouldn't incline!!
