Default Interior trim replacement nightmare

Not sure this is the right area to post this query into, however here goes.

My wife caught her engagement ring twice on the rear passenger side interior quarter panel trim, ripped it in two places, reaching behind her trying to find her seat belt. Now I have been quoted almost £500 to buy a replacement from my local Jag dealer. I did think that I had sourced a complete panel from a guy in the states through ebay, however he kind of mucked me around a bit so I ended up not buying the trim from him.
The colour of this panel is flint grey and ivory for a 2007 Jaguar XK 4.2. Any ideas who may have a second hand interior panel of this colour.
Any leads would be appreciated as I have tried national breakers web sites the lot

I had a similar experience. When I first purchased my car and during the first ride I took my girlfriend on, she managed to scrape the leather glove box door with either her ring or purse. I was pissed!!!! I treated it for a few days with lexol while kneading that area in order stretch it back in place. I can see if if I look for it, but it's hard to find. The leather on our interior dash and doors can easily be marred and caution must be taken to avoid damage. I'm almost wishing I had vinyl!

You might try doing a leather patch. Especially if it's in a hard to see place, it probably won't be noticeable at all!

Mike,

A single interior panel will always be hard to source from a breaker as they always prefer to sell a complete set.

As you're in the UK, it could be worth a visit to your nearest Furniture Clinic branch.

Car Interiors Leather Repair & Restoration

Despite the name, they have gained a good reputation with classic car owners for their repair and restoration work.

Thank's gents was kind of hoping I could source a spare trim panel, but proving difficult. I have sent a query to the furniture clinic leather people to see if they can repair it for me
