the seat is reclining but not enough to be comfortable when you sit and when I am moving the seat very back until one point the back rest is moving front

That's normal. Follow these steps:
1. From the outside of your car, move the seat bottom all the way down and forward. That will allow you to set the seatback to the maximum recline angle.
2. With the seat fully forward, move the seatback all the way down until it stops.
3. Move the seat backwards while watching the seatback angle. As you approach the limit of rearward travel, you will see the seatback move forwards, reducing the recline and becoming more upright.

Now that you know how it works, get in the car and find a comfortable seat position together with adjusting the steering wheel reach and angle and outside mirrors. Set the seat memory to remember those settings. Read your Owner's Handbook.

Hope this helps.

Spot on Stuart!

The same applies to your passenger, should they have the same issue (minus the steering wheel, of course).

You will need to continue to experiment with various adjustments. You may find that you will not find your optimum position and will need to either make due with what you have or end up selling it and moving on. Unfortunately the structure design has made limitations to seat position . Good luck

The driver seat the back rest is going a lot more back than the passenger. The passenger seat is going front a lot but back is going until upright position.

Doe the seat back hit the inside of the car or is it binding mechanically?

If it's hitting the inside of the car there is nothing to be done except move the seat forward and then recline it further. It's a poor design mechanic due to the convertible roof structure that even the coupe owners got stuck with. Eventually I want to cut mine apart and redo the interior panels so the seat will recline like normal.

If the seat back is not moving properly then the seat module needs to be reconfigured by the dealer. This has been discussed multiple times in other threads.

Yeah, whats up with that? How come no one has made a "convertible quarter panel delete" for the Coupes!

Cheers,

Dave

Yes. Go to the dealer. They will reset the seat module.
Or, find someone who has Jaguar SDD software and have them do a seat module reset.

Ok, I'll try to find someone. But before I do, is there anything that I could do to reset the module, like some button combination or unplugging the battery?

Do a hard reset!
detach the pos and neg on battery, hold them together for 20 seconds and reconnect.

While this works for many problems, it doesn't help with the messed up seat modules. It's a known deal, and it's always a recalibration.

Stuart, The Seat Module bracket attached to the seat is broken. All works, but the case is just hanging loose. Where can I get a case or a new module (don't want to replsce it). 2005 Jag XK8. Just bought it yesterday. Part number LJE160AB/XXX

Hazmat 1075,

You're in the X150 Forum, for 2007 - 2015 aluminum-body XK/XKR models. Your 2005 XK8 is the previous X100 steel-body model. I doubt that the seat brackets are the same. You should ask in the X100 Forum.

Regardless, try searching Ebay for what you need. You can also try Forum sponsors who sell parts, such as .SNG Barratt.

Good luck!

Stuart

Thank you. The Forum is new to be and not too say with all "x" so thank you. The Module housing is made of plastic which the reason it broke of the two screws. The good thing is that it works,

Welcome to the forums Hazmat1075,

I was going to move your question to X100 forum but thought you may never find it again!

Broken the lid of the Seat Module is a regular issue on the X100. It's available separately from Jaguar:

Please make your subsequent posts in X100 forum:
