Got an invitation from Jaguar today to attend a session to test drive the XK, XJ and XF models under street and autocross conditions. It is a coded, personal invitation, I assume, for present Jag owners?

It's going to be in Alameda, CA on July 20-22. Not sure if I'm going to attend as it is a 6 hours round trip drive from where we live. Tempting; I'm already pretty much sold on a new XJ variant but, my wife has not been in one, yet. Maybe this event would tilt the field in the direction of a new Jag for us...

According to Jaguar USA, it's planned for 18 cities starting in Seattle this weekend (June 22nd/24th).

Full details on their website. Looks a lot of fun.

I went to this event in SoCal a couple of months ago. It's a good time and a first class event by jag. Highlights are a timed auto cross in a Xkr and a 0-80-0 drive in a Xkr-s (and you get your personal video of this).

I went to the event in Houston earlier this year and it was a blast! When else are you going to have the opportunity to drive so many different jags including the XKRS! 6 hours round trip is a long day but it will be well worth it!

Emerald Downs parking lot now covered in lots of rubber!

Good responses from everyone; now that I am convinced to do the 6 hours drive and go to the event, I can't register. The connection is declared "untrusted" by my ISP on the two PCs that I've tried just now. Interestingly, when I originally went to this website, I was allowed to register but, I chose not to. Guess, no second chances with Jaguar :-)

Will try again later.

Albert

PS - Looks like Jaguar has given me that second chance and allowed me to register. My wife told me that I would have to leave the checkbook at home...ha...ha....ha

I also attended the event in Seattle. Did it Friday under constant drizzle. It was a lot of fun, and the wife also had a great time. Good food, nice goodie bag, and the cars are glorious. I can't stop going to youtube to watch XKR videos.

How do we get in?! How?! I live a stones throw from Alameda and would kill to go. Plus I have a friend who I'm trying to convince to buy an XJ and it'd be a killer sales push to get him behind the wheel...

Any advice?

The invites started showing up in my facebook feed. I think it was just because I had 'liked' JagUSA and Jaguar.

I checked to see if I would be allowed to take an other "guest" but, am limited to only one (the wife). There is a phone number with the reservation that you could call and see if you could get a spot. 888-703-3888.

We're going on July 19th at 12 noon. Would be nice to meet you there.

Albert
