The C-X75 would have put Jaguar in a different league with McLaren and Ferrari--such an exotic eye catching car--too bad. The F-Type 2+2 has my eye. The X150 is getting old. Newer cars with digital LED dashes, updated electronics and suspensions make the X150 feel old. However, the X150 still competes as a GT with the best of GTs. It's just a great all around GT. Too bad Jaguar ended production. I'm sure if Jaguar were to build a new updated XK the price would be 30%-50% more.
After selling my XKR I really miss it. I'll be looking for a 2015 convertible next year when I have the time to drive it. Had a very bad experience with Canadian sales tax, 15%, and lost $12,000 when I sold my car. Was told I could put the car through my business as a trade on a new car by the government tax office to off set the sales tax burden on the new car. So I sold my car then I'm told my car which was sold through my business can not be used as a trade in allowance. Great Canadian socialism at work cost me $12,000. I'm really pissed and makes me not want to spend my money on another new car. High taxes really have a negative effect on the economy and ones enjoyment.

DGL I like to see where people sit in the market of purchasing vehicles and you mentioned you are looking to get behind the wheel of a xkr again , Ill play devils advocate and asked if the Maserati Granturismo has ever crossed your mind.

Thanks follow Jaguar fans. I also miss this forum. Great cars and great people.
Steve, I considered the Maserati Granturismo before buying my 2013 XKR. I also looked at the Audi R8 and 911 Turbo. None of these cars compare to the total ride experience of the XKR. Further, the XKR is much easier and economical to maintain. No longer are Jaguar's riddled with electrical problems and reliability issues of the past. The XK is a well built car. Albeit, it's platform is getting old it still competes and delivers a great driving experience. My over riding reason for selling my XKR is the climate I live in. I also had a new MB SLK 55 AMG in my garage and could not bear the thought of having these cars set in the garage for another long winter. My plan was to get a new 2015 XKR convertible in the spring as a life long commitment until the tax office screwed me with a $12,000 extra car ownership expense.
Fortunately, I will be looking at another fun car soon. If the Canadian $ wasn't so low I would be in a 2014 McLaren 12C spider now. I had an opportunity to get one at a great price. However, maintenance of a McLaren does make me scratch my head; this is were the XKR quickly comes back into consideration. The new Acura NSX in a spider model is of interest, but so far I haven't seen any great reviews of the car and it sounds like a lawn mower with the stock exhaust. Acura will produce a spider model soon. I'm not sure if I could hack all of the Acura signature on the car and the car sounds bad--not Jaguar bad.
