Default Let's talk Mods!!

Ok, so I have my XKR now and am already ready to start modding. I guess I'm one of those guys who can't leave well enough alone. LOL. I noticed there are now 2 vendors offering tunes, any consensus on which one is best? Doing the pulley mod, for the 5.0L engine, can we do both upper and lower pulleys and which brand would be best? Mina? Eurotoys? As far as the exhaust, I'm thinking about going with either Militek or Quicksilver. Any suggestions? I think for now I'll just do the exhaust, pulleys and tune...see where that takes me. Maybe one day there will be a twin screw supercharger available...now that would be very nice. Thanks forum

I did RSC as they are local to me in Miami. A 3LBS pulley and a "plug and play" tune that you keep. No laptops and uploading files. We are going to put it on the dyno so see if we can get a few more HPs out of the car, but its scary fast. Other then that I have the RSC exhaust which eliminates the two center resonator with an X pipe and adds their own rear resonator. For suspension at the moment I have H&R springs but am waiting on my Spires Coilovers to ship any day now.

Future mods for this month include highflow cats, EBC Yellow stuff brake pads, drilled rotors, carbon diffuser, and larger spoiler.

As far as tunes there are quite a few available but realistically there are only a few place that actually make there own, so most are pretty close and with a pulley bring the car to around ~610-620 flywheel HP

Oh and wheels HRE P101s 20x10 ET45 offset fronts with 265/35/20 and 20x11 ET40 offset rears with 295/30/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I also changed the alignment slightly for a more livelier feel.

MaximA,

Will be interested to see your wheels with the drilled rotors. Let us know where you got them, price, and how they perform with the Yellowstuff pads.

Your wheels and rear offset looks great. The 20x11 does look awesome on the rear end. I only saw the photo from the side, and I am sure they look great from a lower rear photo perspective.

While I like to keep my cars somewhat "stock" in nature, I give you a AAA+ for the wheels and tire setup. The car looks very "mean" and "aggressive" with that staggered combination.

Nicely done for sure. Now I am looking forward to seeing the new body parts added.

Chris:

If your interested in adding a rear Jaguar leaper badge to the rear trunk lid, let me know. I have one available. These are usually found on the 2012+ MY XK/XKR cars. Many Jaguar enthusiasts are putting them on some of the earlier models for a enhanced Jaguar look. Cost $38.00 + $2.00 to mail=$40.00. It is OEM size and quality.

These the only rotors I can find for the XKR, there are a few slotted rotors out there but another member posted these last week and they look like will work. I'm just hoping they hold up in repeated high performance use.

Jaguar XKR 2013 - Premium Drilled & Slotted Rotors

I was just looking through some Porsche forums and they are not to happy with these.. I'll keep looking, finding parts for this car is NOT easy.

I've seen a few people in the x100 section use these.

Brake Rotors Brake Discs Drilled Slotted Rotors

There are options for drilled, dimpled and slotted. They have Alcon and non-Alcon parts. And they also claim a lifetime warranty for warping and cracking.

There doesn't seem to be a 2013 listing, but there is 2012, which should be the same, no?
