Although I still have to remove the XK glove box soon to fix the broken dampener cable.....

Me too.
Agreed most other cars are hard to get to cabin filter. My BMW has to remove glovebox. My Mercedes has to remove panels under the glovebox. Both are PIA jobs.
But (have not done this yet) air filter in our cars seems to be a beast, while cabin air filter looks to be a breeze (pun intended).
I wish I could figure out what Ford car uses the same pollen filter as the XK since the filter says Ford on it. I brought it to a Ford dealer once and they were no good.
The local auto parts store had the code cross reference wrong.

There may not be one. They may have made it specific for the car, or had somebody else make it and put Ford's name on it. Just doing a brief search of the web for the part, came back with at least 9 makers of a replacement filter, including AC Delco, and I bet GM didn't make a car using that filter. Prices are all over the map, from $15 to $57, and that's just on PartsGeek.com.
For several pollen filter choices, see my Post #10 in this link, which I posted above in my reply #2:

Keep in mind, the pollen filtration part will last many many years.
If the air is flowing the "pollen" filtration is working
The charcoal filtration that filters putrid air wont last long.
But if you have a convertible, what do you care, you are inhaling both in wholesale quantities.

They must have got the message. Just tried a search on their website, and got no results for this type of filter.
