Location of Sirius Satellite Receiver - 2010 XK/XKR
#2
No expertise here - but I would assume that it is built into the radio unit. In other words - it would simply be "all one piece" as opposed to having a secondary receiver dedicated to SAT reception.
I believe the "shark fin" antenna is SAT related (to best of my knowledge).
Now I will sit back and be educated.

that is correct, it is in the trunk above navigation, you can pull it out after removing the 3 screws that hold it to the bracket to look at the back of it which has the sat. ID number. You don't have to undo any of the wire connections to do this, then just push it back in, redo the 3 screws and call sirius to start activation.

Thanks everyone but where in the trunk is the navigation/Sat Receiver located?

First make sure the top is all the up.
Open the trunk and remove the luggage separator. Retract it in to the reel then gently twist the whole thing so that it releases from its mountings. Remove entirely so it is out of your way.
look at the black carpet panel that was covered by the luggage separator.
Remove the four black hook things by unscrewing them.
Remove the black carpeted panel.
This will reveal the battery on the left and the navigation and satellite unit on the right. The SAT unit sits above the NAV unit and once unscrewed, you'll see the SIRIUS ID label.
Why are you curious where it is?

I just purchased a 2010 XKR and wanted to activate a 2 month trial for Sirius. When I called Sirius XM customer support they said there was no radio receiver registered with the vin associated with my car. Also, on the SAT screen it does not display a Sirius ID. I want to determine the Sirius ID from the radio or see if there is a problem with the connection to the radio or if there is a radio installed at all.

I've seen those modules fail often so it could be there but not working.
Good luck. Be careful with the luggage separator. If it doesn't go back into place properly, the top won't work.

Although the work I did was on my 07, much of this should be relevant to the 2010. At the very least you can see what the SDARS module looks like. Even though I have a coupe I was using my mom's convertible as a reference. Hopefully this helps.
